Towhee Ridge or Bust!!
The weekend is here Liz let’s go hiking!☺️
With the deep snow hiking can be exhausting!😅
Normally Silvertop hikes miles without stopping. On yesterday’s hike up the steep hill to the off grid cabin I stopped twice!😅
Today as we approached this steep hill ( in the third photo) I told Liz and Jan to stop and rest when you need to.
With every step, you slide back a little, even with crampon/chains on your boots!😲
Even more so for Silvertop, who once again decided HE didn’t need chains!😇
Heavy snow this morning, then misting rain as we hiked……..Lol Northwest snow!🤣
Today’s goal was to reach Towhee Ridge and back. Sunny spots have melted out at the ridge, but the temperature will continue to drop this evening.
We paused for some photos, and a short rest…….twilight was approaching quickly!
Jan said she will sleep good tonight, I think we all will!😅
As we descended, we once again passed the family from the tiny house. The husband stopped to chat……..
“Silvertop did you see Bitcoin hit $40,000 today!”😳
I did………I have some dry powder…. I’m just waiting, and watching!☺️
