Sun Wen is one the great female footballer who made it to list of top scorers. She is a Chinese born on the 6th of April 1973 in Shanghai. She score 11 goals in her 20 FIFA world cup match appearance, she led China to the finals in the 1999 world cup which they lost to USA, she went on to win the Golden ball and Golden boot award that year, she was named Best women player of the century in the year 2000.

4. Michelle Akers. 12 goals
Michelle Akers was born on the 1st if February 1966 in Santa clara, California, USA. The two time world cup champion scored 12 goals in her 13 world cup match appearance, she played in the 1991 China, 1999 USA and 1995 Sweden world cup respectively. She is also a Golden boot winner.

3. Abby Wambach. 14 goals
The American female football legend was born on June 2 1988. She scored 14 goals in her 25 world cup match appearance, featured in the 2003, 2007, 2011, and 2015 world cup respectively. She won the 2012 FIFA women player of the year.

The German superstar was born on 25th October 1977. She has scored 14 goals in her 24 world cup match appearance. She is a 2 time world cup winner, won the golden ball in the 2003 edition and 3 times player of the year in 2003, 2004, and 2005. She scored some fantastic and great goals. Marta is the female GOAT, the only player with the most world cup goals for both male and female players. The greatest of all time known as the female Pelle of Brazil was born on 19 of February 1986, she has scored 17 goals in her 20 world cup matches appearance making her the all time top scorer in the history of world cup. She won the Golden boot in the year 2007 and *best player of the year in 06,07,08,09,10 and 2018 respectively, you see why she is the GOAT of female football.
