Earlier this month we heard a great news in women football from the Africa best female footballer and the Barcelona star Asisat Oshoala, she announced her Academy initiative on her Twitter page when she talked about partnering with @nikefootball and @Women_Win. See her tweet below.

Asisat Oshoala is one the star that has made Nigeria and Africa proud, she is one of the world best female player with many awards and honors, she is playing in one of the best team in Europe which is Barcelona football club and she has always proven herself . She has been a role model and an inspiration to the upcoming female footballers.

We are so happy this is coming from one the Africa best, she has showed us that she really appreciate the support we have given to her, she never forgot where she came from and have decided to give back and help those who struggled like her back then. Making it to the top is not easy, especially when you are in Africa and you are a female in this profession. The story of Asisat Oshoala's journey to the top was not an easy one, she started from grassroot and worked hard to become a star, we can find few women who can pursue their talent in sports just like the way she did, so when I heard of this her Academy initiative I knew she has always had the upcoming female talented footballers in her heart, she is one of a kind.

This Academy will help build a solid foundation for more female Africa footballers that does not have the opportunity to further their football career and dreams, the impact will be massive, and we believe as times goes on we will see more of this, and this will also spread to other sports, more star will come out of this academy that will make Africa and the whole world proud. Here in Africa female sport has not been acknowledge that much, but if we can find more people with golden heart like Asisat then the future of female football in Africa will be bright.
