Rockers Trade Catcher Stewart Levy for Gastonia RHP Austin Glorius
High Point Rockers traded 2 year veteran Stewart Levy for Rookie Austin Glorius who started with the Bluecrabs in 2020 but never played since there was no season so technically 2021 was his first year in the ALPB when he was traded to the Honey Hunters.
Stewart with 69 GP as Catcher, 12 as 3B, 3 as 1B, and 1 in LF; with 300 at bats and 61 hits, 11HR and 52 RBI
Austin with a GS of 23, 5 wins 4 losses, 92 SO and ERA of 6.67
In this writers opinion it seem this new pitcher will be competeing with Tommy Lawerence who is the rockers best pitcher. As for why trading a Catcher for a Pitcher is unknown to me since Stewart was great at batting for the Rockers but had his ups and downs as a catcher. Either way this will be an interesting trade and hope it's the right decision. We will see when the season starts on April 21st!
