My Actifit Report Card: May 29 2024
Rainy and Cloudy Day
Today was a rainy cloudy day, so I did my cloverleaf walk trail only once.
I just started walking for exercise, so I only walk 2000 steps.
I take a short job north, then three equal branches west, north and east, then turn south to return home.
My plan is to start small and build up.
I am walking on the sidewalk of concrete which is pretty, but my hips and knees already hurt.
I use to run, but only on the grass and dirt.
So I may change to walking in the park.
Maybe a short walk on concrete to the park.
Then around the soccer field for my steps.
I think it will be equivalent to my current walk.
I am also thinking of replacing my shoes.
They are 4-5 years old, I think.
I exercise infrequently, and use to wear them at work, where I do a fair amount of standing and walking. So they look new. But I think the sole compresses over time. So they may need replacing.
I am also thinking about water walking, as less stressful on my knees, hips and back.
But I know I need weight bearing exercise for bone density preservation, so there’s that..,
