Why Pakistanis are so happy about Morocco's victory over Portugal in the FIFA World Cup 2022?
According to World Happiness Report, Pakistanis are generally happy nation. We always find some excuse to be happy. So, when Morocco defeated Portugal in the FIFA World Cup 2022, it was natural for us to be overjoyed. However, some people on the internet have criticized Pakistanis for being too happy about Morocco's victory. They say that there is something wrong with us if we are so elated about another country's success. But we believe that finding joy in the little things is good for our health. And if we talk about Pakistanis, according to World Happiness Report the Pakistani nation is counted among the happiest nations in Asia. So, yes, we are happy about Morocco's victory over Portugal in the FIFA World Cup 2022. And there is nothing wrong with that!

I am not a fanatic football fan, but when Ronaldo cried after the match, my children and brother were among those who cried with Ronaldo.
As for supporting the Moroccan soccer team, my reason is because of my friend and colleague who is from Morocco and is a soccer player and social media celebrity there.
But Pakistanis have found a reason to support Morocco in FIFA 2022.

Morocco–Pakistan relations
In 1952 when Morocco was under French rule and they were fighting for their independence, Sultan Muhammad 5th sent Ahmed Balafrej to US to address UN Security Council.
However, French delegates did not allow him to speak saying that because Morocco is a French colony therefore, Ahmed Balafrej being subject of France can not speak at the UN forum. At this humiliation of Ahmed Balafrej by French, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Sir Zafaullah Khan immediately got Pakistani embassy at US opened at night and offered Ahmed Balafrej Pakistani nationality and issued him a Pakistani Passport due which on the next day he was able to address the UN Security council as a Pakistani Citizen in favour of Morocco. This gave great boost to the Moroccan independence movement internationally and back at home
Finally when Morocco became independent in 1956, Sultan Muhammad 5th appointed Ahmed Balafrej as Prime Minister of Morocco and he used to hang his framed Pakistani Passport in his office and used to proudly tell all the visitors the role that passport played in the independence of Morocco!!!
And thus the Pakistanis found joy in Morocco's success. Now on Wednesday, the semi-final match between Morocco and France is sure to be an exciting one for Pakistanis to watch 🤣.
