My Actifit Report Card: January 1 2023
We often don’t realise how much our health impacts our daily lives until it’s too late. I recently had an awakening when I stepped on the scale and saw the number staring back at me. This was the moment I decided to take my health seriously.
It is the first day of the new year and I am feeling very motivated to make some changes in my life. My health is my number one priority and I know that I need to make some lifestyle changes in order to improve my overall health. I am a bit of a foodie, so making healthy eating choices is not always easy for me. However, today I am determined to make some changes. I don’t have any specific plans, but I am going to start by taking a daily walk of at least two kilometres. Additionally, I am going to be more mindful of what I eat and make sure that I am following a healthy and balanced diet. Making these changes is not going to be easy, but I am committed to improving my health in the new year.
Today is the day that I start my healthy life. I woke up this morning and my wife asked me how many parathas to eat for breakfast. Usually, I would have 3 parathas with fried egg and pickles. But today, I decided that I need to change my lifestyle. So, I jumped out of bed and told my wife that I didn't want any parathas for breakfast. From today onwards, I am going to eat healthy and live a healthy lifestyle.
I started my day with a healthy breakfast of 2 boiled eggs and a cup of tea with milk.
I was really upset when I found out my mother had thrown away my old joggers, yeah I was using them almost 10 years and they were stinking. I loved those joggers and they were really comfortable. But my wife came to the rescue and gave me a new pair of joggers. She said it was a gift from a sportsman friend of mine. I was so happy and grateful. I went for a walk with the family and enjoyed the fresh air.
For the first time, I went to a department store located 1 km from home and bought groceries for your healthy lunch and dinner.
This is how I started my nearly three kilometre walk today.
For lunch, my lovely wife made me a chicken steak in olive oil, avocado, ajvar, and romaine salad. I will repeat the same meal for dinner.
I made sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day. I will definitely make sure to end my day with a relaxing bath and an early bedtime.
I'm feeling good about my decision to finally live a healthier life, and I'm hopeful that I can stick to it!
I know that it won't be easy, but I'm confident that I can do it with the support of my lovely wife. Without her support, I wouldn't be able to achieve my goals. She's always been there for me, and I know she'll continue to be there as I make this lifestyle change. I'm so grateful to have her by my side every step of the way.

I started out well my 5th year hiversary today
You are an inspiration for newbies on Hive because you are supportive and take initiatives to help the community grow. It seems like too many compliments might be a form of flattery, but I've actually found helpful people on Hive. One of whom is you. Thank you for the motivation! I was struggling at first to try and understand the Actifit app, but then I realized that I wanted to focus on my own healthy life, rather than just feeding data into the app 🤣 I'll be sharing my progress reports weekly instead of daily.
