Promotion at work, Splinterlands SPS Validators launched, and Actifit Report March 7 2025

Today, we went to one of our favorite restaurants, Five Bistro, to celebrate my promotion at work that was in the works for almost two years.

I got the official announcement letter this morning. It was a long shot, but with the help of my wonderful wife, I was able to overcome the odds that were stacked against me.

So today was a small celebration of this achievement and increased salary that will help our family finances. After work, we picked up our daughter and drove to the restaurant.

We arrived about fifteen minutes before they opened. So, we went to a tea shop nearby to pick up some loose black tea.

At the restaurant, the ladies ordered some linguini with manila clams, penn cove mussels, prawns, roasted red peppers, and garlic cream.

I ordered an individual pizza and Manhattan drink. Me and my wife started with oysters. Afterward, we had a peach and berry cobbler for desert.

Our daughter loves coffee, so she has a cappuccino with her dessert, and my wife had a French press coffee.

Today was a really big day for me, but it was also a very big day for Splinterlands! After years of building out SPS validator nodes, today Splinterlands launched decentralized SPS validator nodes.

I have launched my SPS validator node, and thanks to the strong support from the Splinterlands community, my node made it into top ten validators right behind the biggest names in the Splinterlands community.

A total of 330 SPS validators were launched today. This is a big step forward in decentralization of Splinterlands.

Another big thing in crypto today was a White House Crypto Summit. Nothing earth shattering was announced and bitcoin strategic reserve will be built at no cost to taxpayers and with Bitcoin that US government already holds.

But at least the government is ending the war on Crypto and that is a big deal already. Long term this legitimized Crypto in USA.

My steps yesterday and today were not great, barely getting over five thousand steps. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day steps wise.
