Doping Has no Place In Sports

Sports is not just a form of physical activity that people could enjoy or help them to improve their health. It can also be organized as a competitive event between people to exhibit the abilities that they honed through many years of sweat and hard work just so that they can prove to everyone that they are the very best in the type of sport that they play. We call this people athletes and they do not only play just to prove themselves, they also play while carrying the expectations of the people that supported them. That said, people as they are, will try to do underhanded things in order to get ahead of their competitors and one of the ways of how they do it is by doping enhancement drugs to perform better for a temporary amount of time which I strongly believe that should have no place in any form of sports competition.
It was a known fact that doping not only on competitive sports but also in general that doping can result in serious health condition when consumed and for the athletes, it might mean the end of their career that is why it was strictly prohibited by sports organizations all over the world, whether it was for amateur or professional sports competition. At the same time, doping might give an athlete a temporary boost of strength but it does not provide a 100% guarantee that a person would win the competition. Sometimes, it can even result for the athlete that uses the enhancement drug to lose if the effects of the drug suddenly lost or it's side effects attack in the middle of the competition.

But even when the side effects of the drug were to significantly reduced to the minimum, doping should still not be welcomed in sports as it would affect the integrity of the competition. As a physical competition, athletes were expected to only use their own abilities and strength to win the game while some might also require the use of strategies and teamwork, particularly in group sports. That is why athletes continues to honed their skills and bodies to the outmost of their ability, practicing almost everyday for many years. But if doping will be allowed, then there will be no more reason for athletes to work hard anymore and instead would just rely on the drugs whenever they compete and at that point, we can no longer call it as a competition.

Sports is also not only just about losing or winning. There was also the spirit of sportsmanship where each athletes are expected in fair play and show mutual respect towards every competitor. Playing competitive sports is not just for its prize money or clout that people gives an athlete it was also about people overcoming adversities within their own hands. That is to say that athletes should play with the outmost of their abilities, continuously trying to improve and grow together and in return, the people that watch this athletes, burning with passion would starts to support them and see them succeed. But using drugs is the complete denial of that since it was synthetic and is not a product of one's effort and instead, the people that would such underhanded things will neither have the support from people or the satisfaction of winning by overcoming the odds while playing in an even field.
At the end, doping, just like any forms of cheating, does not have any place in the world of sports and the people that would resort on such things does not deserve to have a spot on that stage.
