Looks like you decided not to have a screen replacement for your last phone. 🤔 Repairing is indeed sometimes more expensive than simply buying a new phone altogether. 🤓

Yep, that is sadly true. If I replaced the screen myself, it would likely be less expensive, but it is generally quicker and easier to just buy a new one. I wish the bloody screens weren't so stupidly fragile. It's good for their bottom line, though, unfortunately. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙.

If you "armor" your phone (especially pertaining to its screen) such that it would be more resistant to damage, it would become less usable though. 🤯😅

I think that a paperweight is still more useful than a bricked phone as a paperweight, because an object that is designed to be a paperweight is typically a nice decoration. 🤔

Besides that, someone might mistake that bricked phone as still-working. 🤯 Just think of it if a working phone and a bricked phone look very similar to each other. 🤯😅

Yes, I'm sure that an actual paperweight would likely look more attractive, but without such a pretty weight available, a dead phone works fine. Of course, I don't really have piles or paper that I need to keep in place, so it's a mute point.

Well, yes, that's possible, however since it's dead, it would become quickly apparent to whomever attempted to use it. I'd say they look exactly the same, as long as you don't pay attention to what's on the screen, or not on the screen, as the case may be. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
