I persistently did the exercise several times per day
That means, you are very focused on everything that you do every day š After I start my day, I can barely control it. I wish to do something in the evening, but most of the time, it ends up with continuous client calls.
I have definitely reduced my non-veg this month - good that we have niche traditions that does not allow us to bring them home. But you are right - muscles helps us so much to shed more weight without cutting the food. And I like football the most because its a entire body exercise and that post game discussion and fighting are real fun to relieve stress.

It is much harder when you have a challenging job I think. I was able to set a timer for regular intervals and then set a timer for the length of time I wanted to exercise (which was very short, but frequent). I think for some people, it also helps to get a pedometer and have a step goal each day (or hour). That helps me, but my steps are quite low. I do my best, but I am slow.
When I was at the swimming pool the other day, a lady commented that I swam for a long time. I think it was because I am still very fat and it surprised her to see a fat lady swim for an hour without stopping. However, it took me a long time to build up to that, and, while I have stamina, I sometimes wish they had an "extra extra slow" lane for me. Fortunately, most people are kind, and the pool is not very crowded because of the pandemic. I am grateful that it is open!
