Samostically Wins Saturday's HiveChess Blitz Arena - 18/06/22
Hello Chess lovers,
Today is my friend's birthday, International Master Teclaf Pawel from Poland... He just got his second Grandmaster Norm and would soon pick the 3rd which would qualify him for the Grandmaster title.
Source: Celebrant
I told him I would write about him if I win tonight's arena, so yeah, Teclaf! Happy birthday!
He uses the username "Yarebore" on lichess and has played a Hivechess event once (Although he didn't complete it).
HiveChess Arena
I won tonight's Hive chess Arena which makes me happy. I did a 100% berserk and I played well. I got lucky in two games... I had to win dirty against eniolw. I can also consider my game against Stranger27 tricky. Let's take a look at it.

1. d4 e5 - I always try to gambit, so I can get an open position and attack very quickly.
2. c3 - my opponent declined and chose a solid approach
exd4 3. cxd4 Nf6 4. Nf3 Nc6 5. Bg5 h6 6. Bh4 g5 7. Bg3 Bg7 8. Nc3 g4 9. Ne5 Nh5 10. Nxg4 Nxd4 11. Be5 Bxe5 12. Nxe5 Nc6 13. Nxc6 bxc6 14. e3 Nf6 15. Be2 Rb8 16. b3 Qe7 17. O-O Rg8 18. g3 d5
After 18.d5, my position isn't okay and white is solid. All I hoped for here was a mistake
19. Qd4 h5 20. Bf3 h4 21. Bg2 hxg3 22. fxg3 Ng4 23. e4 Rb4 24. Qd3
Rh8?!** - A very Tricky move with bad plans... ( Can you see the idea?)
25. exd5 Qc5+ 26. Rf2 Qxf2+ 27. Kh1 Rxh2# 0-1
Not the trademark way to win... But yeah, it got the job done.
Game 2
I want to show you an idea I learnt from IM teclaf himself. I think I have shared it before but somehow I still get these positions against our @schamangerbert our host!

Nf6 5. Nf3 fxe6 6. Bd3 g6 7. h4 Nh5 8. Ne5 Nd7 9. Nxg6
The gambit works in different ways. In this game, I threatened to checkmate at move 9

A beautiful game that ended in the luxury of royalties.
Now, I'm sure he would study and prepare for it in the last round.
In Conclusion...
I'm happy to win today, it's been a while. Also, it came with a lot of fun. My favourite GM won today, Took a lot of time in a not-so-easy endgame. #TeamHikaru... I hope he wins the candidates.

Thank you for the analysis! I hope we'll have some more interesting game sometime) Last time it was blinder from my side (: But it was interesting to have such stronger opponent like you )
See you this weekend again. Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate!
You need new tricks now :)
This gambit is crap, after c5 you are done.
You are the only person in the universe playing this to me, so I never prepared for it. But it has changed now :)
