Midweek Edition Of Football Across Major Competitions In The World

Introduction

With the recent club football break, most football fans all over the world thought that all the fun would have also go on break, but surprisingly, we saw more of the fun action in the just concluded international football matches. We saw different players who have being doing well receiving their first international call up.

The international games include friendlies, EURO 2024 qualification, AFCON 2024 qualification and CONMEBOL world cup qualification.

The international break which started on Monday last week, has ended today with few interesting fixtures to rap it up. These fixtures where played at the early hours of this morning, and the matches are...

CONMEBOL world cup qualification
Chile 0:0 Colombia

Peru 0:1 Brazil
International friendlies
Mexico 3:3 Uzbekistan

USA 4:0 Oman

We saw the samba boys doing what they know how to do best, which is winning. A late 90'mins goal from Marquinhos was enough to give the boys a deserving victory.
Gabriel Magalhães of Arsenal is the new guy in the team as he received his first call up for the Brazil national team.

Chile and Colombia had no better way of resolving the exciting game than to settle for a goalless draw.

Mexico and Uzbekistan made the match a six goals netting fixture, as both teams settled for a draw with 3 goals each.

The fixture for the Americans seems almost too easy, as they comfortably won their match 4goals to nil.

Now that the international fixtures has being concluded, fans are already washing up their club jerseys, renewing their cable subscriptions, waiting patiently for their favorite league to resume.

On the other hand, we can also say that: players who featured in this international games are returning back to their different clubs to start up training ahead of their league games.

It is interesting to know that football across the five(5) major leagues would be resuming this same week, with fixtures coming from just three(3) leagues on Fri 15th Sept, and they are Laliga, Bundesliga and Ligue 1.

French LIgue 1
Paris Saint-Germain : Nice - 20:00

Other matches are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, so I would be dropping those fixtures this coming friday.

How Does The Table Looks Like ?

Checking the league table simply helps us to know where our team is positioned and how far we've performed since the start of the season. Some clubs are currently sitting at the bottom which makes it feels like they don't belong to a top division, while others are currently sitting comfortably at the top of their leagues.

We should note that the season is still fresh, any team can drop down, and any team can climb to the top.

Due to listing difficulty, I would list out the clubs in the English Premier League and their current position, and I will drop a link to the other four(4) major leagues for table accessment.
