Day 2 Of The UEFA Champions League | Analysis

Introduction

The UEFA Champions League made a return last night where interesting fixtures went down in different groups. Group E,F, G and H Where featured in yesterday's game with some wins, draw and losses.

In my previous post, I wrote the clubs that are currently in the 2023/24 edition of the ucl and explained how they made the list for this season's edition. Incase you missed the post, kindly check using this link.

So in today's edition, I would discuss about the games that went down last night in the ucl, and also drop the fixtures for tonight with a little touch of what we should be expecting.

Just like i stated in my last post, "When it comes to football, a major event which is the biggest UEFA football competition carries more excitement than others.".

Yesterday's Game

Some games yesterday went as expected, while others ended up in shock for some of us. Some teams weren't having that mercy to take it easy on their opposition because they know how competitive the champions league is. Here are the scores for yesterday's game...

Talks Review

I will say that the match between Lazio and Atletico Madrid happens to be the most interesting due to the late minute goal that leveled the game. Surprisingly, the goal came at the +94mins, where lazio's goalkeeper scored with a header, and coincidentally, the goalkeeper wore jersey number 94. What a moment in the history of football.

The match between Milan and Newcastle ended in a draw, with Milan have more clear chances to score, but couldn't. Nick pope was incredible for the english side yesterday.

Psg had little worries, as they defeated Dortmund by 2goals to nothing. Mbappe scored the first goal through a penalty, while Hakimi made it two with a brilliant finish.

It could have been easy for everyone to predict that Manchester city can easily demolish their opponent, but the case wasn't like that. Crvena Zvezda where the first to score when a nice through pass met a player who was ready to finish. City came back from behind to win the game 3-1, with Julian Alvarez scoring a brace.

And lastly, we saw barça demolishing their opponent by 5goals to nothing. Felix was on the score sheet again as he netted a brace in the game.

Today's Game

Today's games holds tough matches, seeing that top teams would be in action later tonight. Here are the matches in the ucl today...

Galatasaray VS FC Copenhagen - 17:45

Arsenal VS PSV Eindhoven - 20:00

Talks Review

The most interesting matches to look out for are Bayern/United and Sociedad/Inter.

Bayern Munich has being a tough team when it comes to champions league fixtures. They are greatly known for their habits of making fool of epl teams in the ucl. Sadly Manchester United haven't being in a good form this season, with so many injury worries, things might just end up bad for ten hag's men. We should note that united has lost 3-1 in their last two matches, but let's see how it turns out for them.

Second runners up in the last edition of the ucl will battle against laliga giant real sociedad. This match holds something interesting which awaits ucl lovers.

Arsenal will also be in action later tonight after securing a slot for themselves last season. They have being in top form this season, which so many people hopes that they get a easy win in this game.

Napoli, Real Madrid and Sevilla are also in action later tonight. Tonight edition should be more interesting than yesterday's.

In Conclusion

Yesterday matches shouldn't be more exciting than what we are having today. Some teams are just featuring for the first time in a long while. Let's do well to support our various teams.
