The 5th T20 match was played between West Indies vs England today at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados. West Indies beat England by 17 runs and won the five match t20 series by 3-2.
West Indies won the toss and decided to bat first. Caribbeans had a good start. Openers Brendon Kings and Kyle Mayers made 59 runs partnership. Brendon scored 34 runs in 31 balls including 2 fours and 2 sixes. Mayers scored 31 runs in 19 balls including 3 fours and 2 sixes. Romario Shepherd had gone early for only 6 runs. Nicolas Pooran was dismissed by Adil Rasid at 24. Caribbeans had lost 4 wickets for scoring 105 runs. Then Kieron Pollard and Rovman Powell made 74 runs big partnership just in 5.2 overs. Hard hitter Pollard scored 41 runs in 25 balls including 1 four and 2 sixes. Powell scored 35 runs in 17 balls including 1 four and 4 sixes. Finally West Indies scored total 179 runs by 4 wickets. English all rounder Adil Rashid and Livingstone each took two wickets.
In reply English hard hitter Jason Roy was dismissed early at 8 runs by Akeal Hosein. Then Tom Banton had gone for 16. Moeen Ali came out and made 46 runs partnership with James Vince. Vince scored 55 runs in 35 balls including 7 fours and a six. Moeen scored 14 runs. Sam Billings scored 41 runs in 28 balls including 1 four and 2 sixes. Other batsman failed to play attacking innings. England bowled out for 162 runs in 19.5 overs.
Caribbean bowlers performed really well. Akeal Hosein picked up 4 wickets for 30 runs in 4 overs. All rounder Jason Holder picked up 5 wickets for 27 runs in 2.5 overs. In final over he made a hat trick and took 4 wickets in 4 ball. It's a great a great record in t20 t20 cricket. Jason Holder was player of the match and series for his outstanding performance.
