The 3rd T20 match of the series was played between India vs West Indies yesterday at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. India beat West Indies by 17 runs and won the three match t20 series by 3-0.

India won the toss and elected to bowl first. Indian striker Ruturaj Gaikwad was dismissed by Jason Holder at 4 runs. Then Shreyas Iyer came out and made 53 runs partnership with Ishan Kishan. Ishan scored 34 runs in 31 balls and Iyer scored 25 runs in 16 balls. After breaking their partnership Rohit Sharma came out but gone for only 7 runs. India lost total 4 wickets just for scoring 93 runs in 13.5 overs. At that situation Suryakumar Yadav and Venkatesh Iyer made 91 runs big partnership. Venkatesh Iyer scored 35 runs in 19 balls including 4 fours and 2 sixes and finally remained unbeaten. Suryakumar Yadav played an aggressive innings of 65 runs in 31 balls including a four and 7 sixes. Finally India scored total 184 runs by 5 wickets.


At the beginning Caribbean bowlers had good control on Indian batsmen but at the end they lost the control and team India abled to make big score. Jason Holder, Romario Shepher, Roston Chase, Hayden Walsh, Dominic Drakes each took one wicket.


In reply West Indies hadn't a good start. Caribbean openers Kyle Mayers and Shai Hope had gone early. Nicolas Pooran and Rovman Powell made 47 runs partnership on 3rd wicket. Powell scored 25 runs in 14 balls including 2 fours and 2 sixes. Pooran played a good innings of 61 runs in 47 balls including 8 fours and a six. Romario Shepherd scored 29 runs in 21 balls including a four and 3 sixes. Other batsman failed to score a creditable innings. West scored total 169 runs by 9 wickets.


Indian bowlers performed well. Harshal Patel picked up 3 wickets for 22 runs in 4 overs. Deepak Chahar, Shardul Thakur, Venkatesh Iyer each took two wickets. Suryakumar Yadav was player of the match and player of the series for his outstanding performance.
