The 3rd and final t20 match of the series was played between India vs Srilanka yesterday at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala. India again defeated Srilanka by 6 wickets and won the three match t20 series by 3-0.

Srilanka won the toss and elected to bat first. Srilanka had a very bad start. They lost their top orders very early. Gunathilaka gone for golden duck then Pathum Nissanka also gone for only one run. Srilanka lost total 4 wickets just for scoring 29 runs in 8.3 overs. Chandimal and Shanaka made 31 runs partnership. But after breaking their partnership Srilanka was in big trouble. Then Dasun Shanaka played an outstanding innings of 74 runs in 38 balls including 9 fours and 2 sixes and finally remained unbeaten. Srilanka scored total 146 runs by 5 wickets.

Indian bowlers performed brilliantly. Avesh Khan picked up two wickets for 23 runs in 4 overs including a maiden over. Mohammad Siraj, Harshal Patel, Ravi Bishnoi each took one wicket.


In reply India achieved the target very easily. Again Rohit Sharma was dismissed early by Dushmantha Chameera. Then Sanju Sampson and Shreyas Iyer made 46 runs partnership. Sanju scored 18 runs in 12 balls. Deepak Hooda scored 21 runs in 16 balls. India lost total 4 wickets for scoring 103 runs in 12.2 overs. Then Ravindra Jadeja came out and finished the match with unbeaten 45 runs partnership with Iyer. Iyer again played a brilliant innings of 73 runs in 45 balls including 9 fours and a six. Jadeja scored 22 runs in 15 balls including 3 fours.

Srilankan bowlers had no significant performance. Lahiru Kumara picked up two wickets. Dushmantha Chameera and Chamika Karunaratne each got one wicket. Shreyas Iyer was selected man of the match and man of the series for his outstanding performance.
