Ruman Shana - Can he bring an Olympic medal to Bangladesh?
You won't believe it, but the most populous country on the planet still doesn't have any Olympic medals to its name. Yes, that is correct. In spite of having a population of 170 million people, the country has yet to win an Olympic medal. Bangladesh is the country if you want to know. It's a real shame that people in positions of authority don't think about issues like this at all. Even San Marino, which has a population of 34000 people, has three medals to its name in the history of the Olympics. There is a reason why Bangladesh does not produce athletes who have the potential to compete for a medal at the Olympics. Md. Asif Hossain Khan, a shooter from Bangladesh, was the first athlete to demonstrate some promise of winning a medal at the Olympics. He won gold medals at the Commonwealth Games and the SAFF Games. You can probably guess what happened to him. He was assaulted by the Bangladesh Police for a very minor offense, and he was arrested by the Bangladesh Police a few days later for no apparent reason. In my opinion, he was essentially detained because of his political affiliation. They could have found a better solution instead of arresting the athlete. But, no, the Bangladesh Olympic Committee is unconcerned about international recognition or awards. In recent years, there has been another athlete who has demonstrated a great deal of potential. Ruman Shana is his name. We have received three international medals so far from Ruman Shana, which is extremely encouraging news. As a result, he is the first Bangladeshi to ever win a medal at the World Archery Championships. This was a tremendous honor for both him and Bangladesh. He also has another significant accomplishment to his credit. In the mixed event of the World Archery World Cup 2021, he took home a silver medal. His partner was Diya Siddique, another talented athlete from Bangladesh who has also achieved success. Ruman Shana competed in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, but he was unsuccessful in his attempt to win a medal. Despite the fact that he had a poor outcome, he managed to play exceptionally well. He came within a whisker of defeating his South Korean opponent. South Koreans are the most difficult archery opponents to beat. We are hoping that Ruman Shana will bring us a medal at the next Olympic Games.

How do I get to sign this contract you signed with the "bdcommunity"?[smiles]
Urm Bangladesh the most populous? That's new to me. I must confess, I didn't even know they are a country of their own,I thought they were a state or province in a country. Then I saw the population number you gave... even Nigeria is over 180 million souls and they can only lay claim to being the most populous in Africa, nothing more. I think you would need to verify your statistics on this please.
However, you have made a salient point about the people in authority. By the way,it is about the people of Bangladesh too. A sage said "a people get the government they deserve". I agree. If the people are truly ready for a change, leadership will change.
Kudos to your consistency in writing on Hive.
I still love to sign that contract, so that the "bdcommunity" will vote for me like they do for you.
Best regards
Ever since I have seen the bow being used by the athletes in archery I am curious about how they are built and how heavy they are.
