A beginning for the Bangladeshi Women's Cricket Team on their soil
The temptation of excelling is a great means to outscore your previous records. It is very good news for us Bangladeshis, we have yet another reason to be happy. On our grounds for the very first time in record, our ladies stand to play cricket in the W T20I series in Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium resided in Mirpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is time for yet another celebration.
In the middle of the joyous situation, it is also very important for us to notice the challenges they are going to face. Although, it is a very BIG WELCOMING for our women to be playing on the grounds of Dhaka, where Men Cricketer have been playing for such long years. This time, it is the time for women to rise and a time for the term discrimination to disappear from the surface of Bangladesh.
While in one picture, it is set that this is a new milestone for Women Criketers but alike, it is also a new milestone for Bangladesh to be able to rise as a nation. The ODI series is also going great in the Mirpur stadium. It all brings more recognition and more fame which comes with more responsibilities and hardship. Nothing is for free.
The other picture stands for the opposite, where it is very obvious that Bangladeshis still need to grow. Sports is not a means to kill a life. Sports is not a means through which you show rage against race, nation, culture, religion, status, or anything else. Sports is a game, a means of entertainment that takes one out of stress, and a place related to a mini heaven.
Again, to bring up the challenges, the pitch of this ground is a tougher one for the batters but, on the other hand, very technical for the bowlers. If the batter does not time their shot, it is a very good challenge the team is going to face. As long as the bowlers know their score and the batter is precise on their accuracy scale, the game is going to be one of a kind. It will be interesting and breathtaking.
So far, the matches have been very interesting on both sides. The women are competing well. Not even once did it feel like there was a lack of enthusiasm on the grounds. It was a very good match. Even today's match is going to be one of a kind.
And like this, with triumph, the Women Cricketers are playing on their own soil. Even though there are a million reasons to be upset, one reason to smile is enough to win the match. Hope is all we have got; fingers crossed.
