Williams appeared in nine games for the Jets this season, starting three, with 12 receptions for 166 yards. In eight seasons in the NFL he has appeared in 97 games, starting 65, and has 321 receptions for 4,972 yards and 31 touchdowns. He also has 10 rushing attempts for 34 yards and a touchdown.

Williams was drafted by the Chargers in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, the seventh overall pick.

He appeared in two postseason games in 2018, totaling seven receptions for 110 yards, a 15.7-yard average.

Williams had two 1,000-yard seasons with the Chargers, including in 2019 when he had 49 receptions for 1,001 yards, averaging 20.4-yards per reception, the best by any NFL player in a single season in five years (minimum of 40 receptions). In 2021 he had career highs with 76 receptions for 1,146 yards.

Williams set a career high with 11 touchdowns, 10 receiving and one rushing, in 2018.
