Beer Can shim - My Actifit Report Card: February 14 2024

I found a replacement nut and bolt for the Rampar’s seatpost clamp, but the clamp wasn’t doing its job of clamping down on the seatpost.

@luvbnamome drank a tall can of beer a few days ago, and instead of throwing the can in recycle bag, I cut it down to shim the post down into the frame.

I started polishing the frame, but it has a lot of sun damage. The chrome has survived better than the paint.

The handlebars are super clean after an hour of steel wool with polish.

The front wheel has a lot of rust under the chrome, so I’m a little bummed about that.

The youngest kid will be saying Rampar soon, because whenever walks up to bike, I say Rampar.

I rode the vintage BMX around the neighborhood this afternoon and it rides smooth.

I did a shorter ride on my daily ride and ended up riding home with my neighbor who likes bicycles more than I do.
