Continuando con lo que fue mi experiencia trabajando por primera vez como protocolo en el juego de Argentina vs. Venezuela, querĂa compartirles lo que pasĂł en el transcurso de la tarde porque fue un poco de caos y no me daba para hacer un solo post.

Continuing with what was my experience working for the first time as protocol in the Argentina vs. Venezuela game, I wanted to share with you what happened in the course of the afternoon because it was a bit chaotic and I did not have enough time to make a single post.
EmpezarĂ© diciendo que el almuerzo fue muy rico y resuelto, me dieron el permiso para comer a las 12:30 PM, ahĂ me indicaron que pronto se acercaba el terror, que era tener que lidiar con la cantidad de personas, yo me estaba preparando mentalmente mientras comĂa ese rico pollo, con papitas, salsas y una buena Pepsi. Al terminar fuimos al baño y volvimos a nuestros lugares.
I will start by saying that lunch was very tasty and resolved, I was given permission to eat at 12:30 PM, there I was told that soon the terror was coming, which was having to deal with the number of people, I was preparing myself mentally while eating that delicious chicken, with chips, sauces and a good Pepsi. When we finished we went to the bathroom and went back to our places.

El clima en MaturĂn. como siempre siendo una loterĂa, desde que llegamos habĂa un sol y un calor como de costumbre, terribles, el estadio en la mañana estuvo tranquilo, vacĂo, con excepciĂłn de la Barra Brava y la gente de protocolo y seguridad, pero en la tarde empezĂł a llegar la gente y comenzĂł mi trabajo chequeando las entradas y ubicándolos en mi zona.
A medida que iba avanzando la hora, notĂ© que el cielo empezĂł a nublarse más y más, de repente comenzĂł una lluvia inesperada, luego de haber hecho sol durante toda la mañana, tuvimos que resguardarnos en la parte de atrás por un buen rato hasta que escampĂł. Esto no sucediĂł solo una vez, sino varias, la gente volvĂa a sus asientos, todo estaba mojado y desastroso, debĂamos volver a ubicar a la gente, luego llovĂa de nuevo por un rato y asĂ durante varias horas, fue cansĂłn y estresante.
The weather in Maturin. as always is a lottery, since we arrived there was a sun and heat as usual, terrible, the stadium in the morning was quiet, and empty, except for the Barra Brava and the people of protocol and security, but in the afternoon people began to arrive and began my work checking the tickets and placing them in my area.
As the hour progressed, I noticed that the sky began to cloud more and more, and suddenly it started to rain unexpectedly, after having been sunny all morning, we had to take shelter in the back for a while until it poured. This happened not only once, but several times, people went back to their seats, everything was wet and disastrous, we had to relocate people, then it rained again for a while and so on for several hours, it was tiring and stressful.

La atenciĂłn de mis jefes fue bastante buena pese a todo, nos decĂan que si llovĂa ni se nos ocurriera mojarnos, nos pasaban agua y lo que salvĂł mi vida durante la tarde fue un rico Gatorade, me encantĂł que tenĂa la imagen de la Vinotinto, muy adecuado.
Las peores horas fueron las 4 PM, pues el juego debĂa empezar a las 5 PM y no paraba de llegar gente, no me detuve ni un minuto pendiente de las entradas y las personas. Cuando empezĂł el partido, el estadio estaba repleto, se veĂa hermoso. Escuchar nuestro himno y ver a la selecciĂłn Argentina fue gratificante, los nervios a flor de piel.
The attention of my bosses was quite good despite everything, they told us that if it rained we should not even think of getting wet, they gave us water and what saved my life during the afternoon was a delicious Gatorade, I loved that it had the image of the Vinotinto, very appropriate.
The worst hours were 4 PM because the game was supposed to start at 5 PM and people kept arriving, I did not stop even for a minute pending tickets and people. When the game started, the stadium was packed, it looked beautiful. Listening to our anthem and watching the Argentina national team was gratifying, the nerves were on edge.
Pude ver el partido en ocasiones, pero igual no debĂa descuidar mi trabajo, terminamos aproximadamente a las 7:30 PM, la gente empezĂł a desalojar el lugar y a nosotros se nos indicĂł ir detrás del estadio para poder cenar y despedirnos.
El juego terminĂł en empate 1-1, las condiciones del estadio eran fatales por la lluvia de horas antes, sin embargo es un buen resultado a nuestro favor.
I was able to watch the game at times, but I still had to keep my job, we finished at approximately 7:30 PM, people began to leave the place and we were told to go behind the stadium to have dinner and say goodbye.
The game ended in a 1-1 tie, the conditions of the stadium were fatal due to the rain hours before, however, it is a good result in our favor.

Llegué a mi casa aproximadamente a las 9:30 PM, totalmente exhausta de haber estado tanto tiempo de pie y atendiendo a la gente, fue agotador, pero estoy agradecida con la experiencia y con el dinero, por supuesto.

I arrived home at approximately 9:30 PM, totally exhausted from being on my feet for so long and taking care of people, it was exhausting, but I am grateful for the experience and the money, of course.
