@vocup thanks for the vote. I want know if there is a way to get this more often. Like, do I have to buy the tokens? And how many do I need to qualify?

To answer your questions...
There is NO way to get this more often by demand, buying VOCUP tokens or similar.
We don't sell (up)votes!

Our main intention is to support newcomers still learning how Hive functions. (By being around for over 4 years, you wouldn't fall into that category, and from our point of view, this seems like a lot of time to learn a lot about Hive.)
From time to time, we also try to help those with lower HP (no matter how old or new Hive members they are), and into this category (despite the amount of HIVE you withdraw in the meantime) you still fit.
Besides that, we tend to help those who write quality posts (also, no matter if they are old or new Hive members) but, for some reason, remain invisible, have just a couple of followers, and their quality posts are not rewarded as we feel they should be.
We sometimes use other criteria to choose who to support, but the above are the main ones.

In short, VOCUP token holders will not receive our upvote just for holding our token.
The holders' benefit lies in 90% of accumulated/claimed curation rewards that we collect through a certain period (at the moment, one month) and share among them according to the percentage of their holding in relation to the active Total Supply of the token (that at the moment is 500 tokens).
(The number of the Total Supply increases with every new edition of tokens being issued, which happens whenever the previous edition is sold out.)

So, the best way to gain more traction for your posts, in general, (not only from us) and accordingly potentially more upvotes too, is to write better quality posts (not just 3 sentences) with more interesting and better quality photos (not more or less the same photo of questionable quality).
