My Actifit Report Card: June 10 2023
I have decided to lead a healthy life - mentally and physically. The reasons were mainly my recurring dream and my daughter's odd dream. A few weeks ago, my daughter woke up crying. She said she had a terrible dream. She was still sobbing as she recalled the events in her dream. She said that there was a fire and that I and my husband was there and that because we perished in the fire, she had to live somwehere else with someone else. At this, she started tearing up again. As she was telling me her dream, I was having goosebumps because not long before that, I also had a dream with an almost the same theme.
Therr was no fire but in my dream, our family went to Japan. In there we rode a train where our daughter went in first and got mixed up in the crowd. I can't recall how it exactly happened in the dream but when the crowd cleared up, my husband and I ended up riding the train and our daughter was left in the platform. I had another dream of this very same theme a for quite some time.
Whatever that dream meant, I got to thinking about our future. I'm not getting any younger and I noticed my habits aren't exactly that of a healthy person. I kept thinking about how I'll fare in my old age. And at this rate, I can see it fast approaching.
So I decided to get back into acquiring healthy habits. I started with sleeping early and waking up early. Then I went ahead and gave myself 10 minutes of yoga time as soon as I wake up. I used to think that working out is a chore. Now, it has somehow become a gift I give myself everyday. It really helps me a lot now that I look at it this way.
5KM morning Run
I used to call a 5km run 'a quick run.' After my shift before, I usually have a quick run around BGC for 30 minutes and then go home to sleep. Now, it took me almost an hour to complete this 5km run. I'm not besting myself too much though. I am still on my way back to healthy living. I promised myself and my daughter that I'll get there.
This time, I'm not just doing this to feel better about myself. This time, I just want to make sure that I still have the energy and mobility to enjoy my daughter's company when she's a bit older. And if the universe allows it, I am working on staying fit and healthy so that I could enjoy my grandchildren.
Family date with a bit of fasting and book shopping
After my morning run, I didn't feel like cooking. I'm tired AF. So I thought I'd just order in then go out to Laguna Lake later. My daughter has another idea. Instead of ordering in, we went out to Market! Market! mall to have lunch. Apparently, my daughter have been eyeing the playplace there that has a pirate ship in it.
After lunch, what do I see? A poster that says you get free 2kg books if you present a receipt worth 500Php and up. Well, I lost a few ppunds during my jogging and fasting, me and my daughter got oyrselves 2kg of free books! This day is a total win!
Cheers to building healthy habits!
This is the first time in a long time I've reached 20k steps for the whole day. My legs and feet are sore from carrying my weight and that extra 2kg of books, but my heart and soul is happy.
I know it's still a long way before I reach my ultimate goal, but I am hopeful. I keep telling myself that I've done thos before for a very shallow motivation. This time, it's not just for me today, but for the future me and my daughter as well. I hope that I can continue the 10 minute yoga every morning, and this morning jog every weekend.

Omg, kulang ako sa motivation to do it everyday.
Do it for you. Isipin mo na lang masarap magtravel pag mga 40s or 50s na tapos retired na, gala gala na lang. Sarap magtravel na walang iniindang masakit na tuhod or masakit na likod. Haha
ngayon lang to, 2 kids under 3 years old ako ngayon eh. hehe still breastfeeding pa the 23 months old girl.
Wow. Still breastfeeding! Nice. Maganda raw kapag pinagpatuloy until kusa mag wean ang babies. Nung baby pa rin ang little one ko, di rin maka work out or jogging. Pero ngayon, slowly easing into self love na ulit. Pag baby pa kasi ang mga bagets, kailangan nila ng more love from the momma.
Masakit na bewbs ko. haha! napapagod at napapakain ako ng marami eh. i gained so much weight. hehe!
Juicecolored. Parang naalala ko bigla yung sakit. Ahahahahaah. Lalo pag may ngipin na si baby. Ahahahaha.

Ang utak ko lang talaga gusto mag exercise wala sa gawa. haha. Health is wealth pa nga naman.

What a steal! Nakita ko rin yang post ng Market Market about the 2kg of books. Di ako naka-avail tho, kasi wala pang bagong paglalagyan dahil puno pa ang bookshelf pati ang mesa ko 😂

Nahihirapan pa rin ako sa sleeping early. Pero nakakayanan ko na yung waking up early. 5AM pa lang buhay na buhay na ako dahil sa yoga. hahaha.
Actually before the pandemic, naka build na rin ako ng healthy habits eh. Na-reach ko na rin yung ideal weight ko even after giving birth kaso 2 years of lockdown is just too much. haha.
Yung mata naming mag ina biglang nag light up nung makita namin yung sale. Dami ko nabili (pero mostly for study time lang namin ni Aya). Nakakatuwa rin yung selections ni Aya, nakakatuwa makita yung curated books nya. Buong weekend, di nya ginamit yung cellphone time nya, nakatuon lang sya sa free-reading books nya. haha
Either bili ka na ng bagong shelf or give away some books (Ahem! I can still make room for some more in my shelves here! lol) Gumagamit ka ba ng any sort of indexing for your books? I need a more organized and systematic way of cataloging our books, muntik na ako makabili ng dobleng books. haha

For indexing my books, I use lang google sheets. Dahil namention mo, makahanap nga ng ibang way to organize mine.
nice life changes! I also try to change my life and start to go to bed much earlier, before 12pm, and wake earlier. When I do so, I felel great and wake up at 7-8 absolutely fine. If I go to bed at 11 pm, it's even easier to wake up 1t 6-7, you fell you sleep sooo long;)
And morning exercises and yoga every morning as well. I feel lazy often, but when I overcome myself and do it, I feel much better and my body says me "Thanks".
We need to keep it for 21 day, and then the habbit will be a part of us already;)

I'm 12 days in! Just a little bit more and this habit will be formed. haha. Sleeping early is still a struggle to me, but I'm getting there.

it's still very hard for me too because I have so much to do, but I've one more motivation - I really look better (I mean my skin and its wrinkles:))
