Hasta ahora 19 serpentineros fueron cambiados, 12 infielders, 8 jardineros y 4 receptores, dando un total de 43 jugadores, donde los escopeteros representan el 44,2% de los cambios lo que evidencia una gran necesidad de pitcheo para la generalidad de la Liga razón por la cual la cuota de lanzadores negociados forman el grueso de todos estos movimientos.

Johan Santana en su momento fue el mejor de las Grandes Ligas, su cambio de velocidad era un pitcheo que no se lo podían batear, fue muy dominante en su instancia con los Twins consiguiendo 2 premios de Cy Young. Ese no hitter con los Mets fue impresionante pero creo que eso fue lo que terminó de acabar con la carrera de Santana, su brazo ya no aguantaba salidas muy largas y en ese juego lo llevo al extremo aunque consiguió un gran hito en su carrera.
