Como ya es bien sabido, Miguel Cabrera está viviendo una temporada de ensueño y no quiere que nadie ni nada le entorpezca su labor, es por eso que logró dejar atrás las molestias que venía presentando en la espalda y que lo aislaron del terreno desde el 28 de mayo para retomar su puesto en la alineación de los Tigres de Detroit y no conforme con lo ya conseguido en su carrera en esta campaña, el pasado 31 de mayo en un primer duelo de una doble tanda contra los Mellizos de Minnesota en el Comerica Park, Cabrera rompió el empate que sostenía con Andre Dawson al disputar el juego 2.628 en su trayectoria para adueñarse del puesto 39 de la historia de la MLB y por si las dudas y para mas orgullo y amor por el tricolor venezolano; el pasado 6 de este mes llegó a 1.300 carreras impulsadas de por vida con el uniforme de Detroit, cifras estas que le permiten unirse a Ty Cobb (1.805), Al Kaline (1.583), Harry Heilmann (1.442) y Charlie Gehringer (1.427), figuras de la franquicia y miembros del Salón de la Fama, hasta esa fecha Cabrera hace gala de una línea ofensiva de .375/.412/.375, (16-6) con .787 de OPS, en cinco juegos en lo que va de Junio luego de ser electo Jugador del Mes de Mayo de los bengalíes, después de conectar para .318/.352/.471, con cuatro dobles, tres jonrones y 13 impulsadas, en 23 desafíos. Por otra parte hay que mencionar que el maracayero elevó a 245 los encuentros de su carrera en los que al menos se ha apuntado tres indiscutibles, cifra que le ayudó a superar en el puesto 28 de todos los tiempos a Lloyd Waner (244), pero al mismo tiempo de superar a Waner, Cabrera colocó en 1.911 su total vitalicio de sencillos, con lo que se adueñó del peldaño 66 de todos los tiempos, que estaba en manos del boricua Iván Rodríguez y la base por bolas recibida en su último desafío fue la 1.210 en su hoja de servicio, registro este que lo colocó en el puesto 59 en los anales del juego con el célebre Pee Wee Reese, miembro del Salón de la Fama, lo que en resumen deja a Cabrera, de 39 años de edad con foja de .301/.345/.393, con .737 de OPS y lidera a sus compañeros en hits (49), producidas (19) y promedio (.301), en 34 juegos en lo que va de temporada lo que demuestra que “Miggy” lo está haciendo muy bien y se encuentra en un buen lugar, está siendo competitivo y es algo que muchos bateadores de la liga deberían darse cuenta. Las claves en las que Cabrera ha basado su juego: él disfruta el partido, mantiene el contacto con la pelota, tiene la capacidad de batear con dos strikes, aprovecha las oportunidades que le dan sin conceder nada, incluso cuando falla haciendo swing y no se da por vencido y es por eso que todavía a su edad se mantiene en el terreno.

Otro de los ”Caballos Duros” de nuestro beisbol es el receptor de Reales de Kansas City Salvador Pérez quien ha estado sumido en un letargo desde el inicio de la temporada del cual parece querer despertar y el pasado domingo bateó jonrón por segundo día consecutivo lapso en el que ligó de 7-4, en la jornada dominical Pérez acabó con un blanqueo que le estaba encajando Houston a Kansas City y con dos outs y un corredor en circulación en el sexto inning acercó a los Reales 3-2 en el marcador en un desafío que a la postre terminarían ganando los Astros 7-4 y ese es el pelotero que queremos ver el que se robe el show nuestro deseo como todo venezolano amante, fanático del beisbol quiere verlo salir adelante que el pueda mostrar todo el poder y el talento que posee, aunque se debe subrayar que sus problemas ofensivos tal vez estén ligados a sus inconvenientes físicos factor este que ataca a michos peloteros a lo largo de sus carreras y Salvi no escapa de eso, ya es bien sabido de sus reiterados problemas de visión y sumado a eso un traumatismo en el pulgar izquierdo que lo colocó a la lista de lesionados el 17 de mayo y le mantuvo fuera del roster activo 10 días, no obstante el espíritu competitivo del valenciano es fuerte y siempre trata de ayudar a su equipo a ganar los partidos pero lo mas recomendable es ser más paciente y conectar más pelotas en la zona de strike. En definitiva, Miguel Cabrera, Salvador Pérez, Ronald Acuña Jr. y otros tantos venezolanos que participan el la MLB tienen ya consolidadas sus carreras como jugadores estrellas, por ahora solo falta esperar y rezar para que las lesiones no sean obstáculos para ninguno de ellos y que puedan mantenerse en acción porque si bien es cierto que sus nombres son hoy titulares de portadas en diarios deportivos tanto impresos como digitales no podemos olvidar que el beisbol es una disciplina altamente competitiva y exigente y que no por ser un deporte deja de ser uno de los negocios mas rentables en la actualidad y hoy puedes ser la estrella de tu equipo pero un slong en tu rendimiento puede dejarte fuera del juego y ser fácilmente reemplazado por alguien mas joven… triste pero cierto.

gracias por tus palabras yo tuve la oportunidad de ver a cabrera cuando era un novato y jugaba para los tigres de aragua aqui en venezuela ya no lo vamos a poder volver a ver en accion, solo cuando se retire

Oye eso es mas interesante aun la posibilidad de ver jugar a una estrella del deporte, en este caso béisbol, en sus primeros años.
