Provincial Sports Meet 2024: A Leader on the Rescue💪👌

This time I was in the lowest part of my life. I was feeling down and unmotivated.

But I need to stand firm in my obligations in life.

It was March 2, 2024, the scheduled date to travel to San Fernando, Cebu for the Provincial Meet 2024. At first, I was very excited about the said event.

We are the champion in the District Sports Meet. So we had a lot of athletes who will be participating in the Provincial Meet 2024.

But unfortunately, this was also the time that my family was in turmoil. My brother-in-law passed away last Feb 28, 2024. In which I played a big part in his medication.

I was not able to travel with my delegation. I am glad that our coaches and athletes are very understanding.

Unfortunately, after two days in the venue, it was found out that the safety gear for Arnis Sports was left in the school.

It was also announced that no safety gear, no play. So what they did, was they contacted me if I could visit them the next day which was the time for them to play.

So as a Leader, I need to rescue them so their efforts will not be wasted.

Despite the heavy loads that I carried on my shoulder, I needed to go. So I said YES I will bring the safety gear in two big sacks.

The playing venue for Arnis and Taekwondo was Sisters of Mary Boys Town at Minglanilla, Cebu.

This was my first time here. I was amazed at how wide and nice the area of the school was.

We arrived here at 6:50 in the morning together with my youngest son. As I observed just only a few athletes were there doing the warm-up.

I felt excited but at the same time, I felt afraid that they would be injured during the fight.

I did not finish their fight because I was afraid that our athletes would be pressured due to my presence. I just gave them my blessings and moral support.

I visited our billeting quarter at Catalina Lapus National High School, San Fernando, Cebu.

After which we headed home. I did not stay overnight for I did not bring anything for me to use.

While we were on the road going back home I received a message that we garnered 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals, and 6 bronze medals in Arnis and Taekwondo.

I can't explain how I feel that time. I am overwhelmed with my emotions.

So I decided to drop by at the SM North to take a break.

I treated my son with cotton candy only 😁. Anyway, that was his choice and he enjoyed eating while roaming around.
