Awareness Is The Key For Self Defense
Sometimes I have no idea what I'm going to post next. I have been writing about martial arts and self defense consistently for a couple of months. So what I'm going to post next, it will be something related to martial arts and self defense. If you see my posts or read my posts, you can guess that easily. It is because you are aware of it.
When it comes to self defense, awareness is very important. If you are aware of your surroundings, you can make your move effectively to protect yourself. If you can avoid a situation without a fight, that is the best thing you can do. Again, attacking is the best defense.
Wait a second. What I just said is completely opposite. So what should you do? If you are aware of the situation, you can decide on your own. You see, there are more than twenty-five attackers and you will find it difficult to get support from outside, you try your best to avoid any fight.
On the other hand, you see the guy keeps attacking everyone, and you are next. You will not wait for him to attack you. You will make your first move. That will definitely surprise the attacker. I have made a post recently, and it is about Self Defense Situation - What Do You Do? - Part 29: Jiu-Jitsu for Women Self-Defense.
In the video that I shared over there, you saw a girl was entering the house. Maybe she went out for a walk or run. She was busy with her phone and wore earphones. The attacker was waiting outside, and as soon as she got in the house, the attacker also got in.
When you are busy with your phone, you usually do not pay attention outside. And if you wear earphones, you cannot hear much what is going on. If she was not busy with her phone and did not wear earphones, she could have sensed that someone was waiting to attack her or saw the attacker.
Should you not use your phone? Of course, you should. We cannot imagine our life without a phone these days. You can even use your phone to be more aware of your surroundings. You can use your phone to look around without moving your head. For example, if you have a mirror app, you can easily look around.
If you are aware of your surroundings, that gives you the signal, and it will help you defend yourself. Thank you so much for reading this post. If you are passionate about martial arts and want to learn more about martial arts and self defense, you can check out some of my recent posts.

Thank you for your support. I appreciate that!
You used the perfect illustration - "busy with phone". I think most people get easily attacked because they are not aware of their surrounding. Awareness is indeed key to protect us. Being aware also make you confident and ready for self defense.
Yes, you are right. Even if you know what to do to defend yourself, but are not aware of your surroundings, you will find it difficult to protect yourself. Thank you for your feedback!
Have a great day!
Congratulations!
