Liverpool Are Slipping Away

Manchester City now have a six point lead over their nearest rivals Liverpool at the top of the EPL table. It will be hard to see them losing this one as the top team of the premier league at Christmas tends to win in the end.

On the other hand, Liverpool were top last season at this point before imploding and only finishing third in the end. Could we see a repeat this season?

I think it is highly unlikely as Man City have strength in depth unlike Liverpool who rely on a few key players like Van Dijk, Salah and Mane.

Salah and Mane will also be out for the African Cup so that's another big blow to them as I think they will implode after Christmas for the second season running. As good as Liverpool are when they are firing on all cylinders, they can be pretty poor when things start going out of sync.
