Ah Le Tour.....!

Having finished a week of work and had a few bevvies post coworking on Le Friday I found myself in a bit of a lazy ass mood Le Saturday.

So I went for a bit of a morning stroll for coffee and croissants and then remembered it was the first of two back to back mountain stages in Le 2024 Tour .

So I simply lazed around most of the day watching the bike racing on ITVX....

I haven't watched a live stage for years 'it's something I used to do all the time back when Wiggins and Froome were winning, and that's getting for a decade ago!

It's such a great casual watch, perfect for a lazy day with all the scenery and crowd shots.

The Pyrenees!

This wknd they were in the Pyrenees and it was a show down between Pogacar and Vingegaard, and the beauty is I'm neutral so it's just pure joy!

Pogacar ended up winning on Saturday and looks set to win Le 2024 Tour but you never know he has apparently cracked later in the race in the past!

It's bonkers to think we can just watch the entire race livestreamed it's a real tech achievement!

And I love the commentary- it really confirmed winning requires a genetic base - you have to be light enough naturally to climb mountains with sufficient power to do a decent TT too.

People with the wrong frame who have to lose a few kilos to climb compared to their optimum just can't last three weeks compared to the likes of this year's main two protagonists.

But at least there's two of them!

Love the Tour. Missed the mountain stages this weekend because of work.

It is beautiful. I went one year with my family. It was one of the best weeks of vacation in our lives. The people in the rural mountain towns are awesome.

We went for like 10 days and it was still awesome. Hard to pick a best day, but it would have to be Alp d'huez or Paris
