Did Arsenal Just Wave the White Flag in the Title Race?

Arsenal’s approach to the Everton game felt a little too casual for my liking. It was almost as if we were content to settle for a draw, something I didn't expect at this crucial point in the title race. That mindset, in my opinion, sent the wrong message: that we were already conceding the Premier League title without a fight.
What makes it more frustrating is how the situation could have changed dramatically. With Liverpool dropping three points today, a win against Everton would have brought us within nine points. That margin, while still a challenge, is a lot more realistic than where we currently stand. It’s these kinds of moments that define seasons, and unfortunately, we didn’t seize it.
Let’s be honest, Liverpool haven’t been spectacular this season. What they've done well, however, is grind out results even when not playing at their best. Arsenal’s inconsistency is what’s allowed them to open up the gap. The lack of urgency against Everton just reinforced the idea that we’re not fully capitalising on the chances we get to close that gap.
On a brighter note, it was good to see many of the players get game time. With a massive Champions League tie against Real Madrid on the horizon, sharpness and fitness are essential. The fact that we came through the game without picking up any new injuries is definitely a positive to take forward.
All said and done, the league title race isn’t over just yet. It’s a tough road ahead, but football is full of twists. If we can find consistency and show a bit more hunger in the remaining matches, there's still a chance to make things interesting. Let’s see what Tuesday brings!
