Actually, Below is my screenshot of yesterday when 183th day of the SPS airdrop is done and it is almost midway of the SPS airdrop and I am nicely placed at 125K SPS stake out of my target 200K SPS.
Overall, it means that (125/200) *100% = 62.5% of my target is completed and it might look that I will be able to reach my target at end of the airdrop. Will I reach 250K SPS stake? or if I am thinking even 200K is too big that I can miss?
Suddenly 200K SPS start looking challenging.
If you all are wondering why I feel that completing last 37.5% goal is more impossible then first 50% in same amount of time frame? Why I feel SPS accumulation become more challenging?
Reason of my thinking is that after CHAOS LEGION general sale my SPS airdrop at least taken hit of 12% and my SPS airdrop is reduced. SPS staking APR is also dipping each day.
So when I calculated my current airdrop with remaining number of days, I am just barely crossing the mark. With DEC getting printed everyday, my drop is supposed to reduce every day normally.
Future can hit it hard.
Just wondering, another big news and a very big guild join Splinterlands and all remaining 8 million pack sold out. I am outright expecting some 20% dip overnight in this case and I will be farther from my goal of 200K.
The best shot.
I guess I have 2 option to counter this.
a.) Buy SPS.
SPS is currently cheap ,so why not buy SPS.
b.) Buy DEC.
DEC is the chepest way to get the points towards SPS airdrop ,so buying DEC will also help.
The real dilemma.
I am in uncertainty now, I am now focusing more on Hive. Though when I compare SPS with AXS (Axie infinity governance token) then SPS look really undervalue but on the same time , free fall on SPS price keep rising doubt if I will catch a falling knife.
Other hand I am optimistic on Hive rally, so using Hive for buying SPS is again a "dilemma" for me. I am committing myself to increase my Hive power too and I earlier thought once I complete my SPS goal then I will sell SPS to get some Hive so buying SPS to stake with Hive was never in my plan.
I will wait.
At last, I thought I will not worry more for my SPS stake and watch patiently to grow everyday. It is better for me to do monthly review of the stake to understands it's growth and it's likelihood to reach the goal. So I will check in next month if this stake reaches 137.5K next month or not, or if it remain short then should I buy.

SPS could easily 50X when compared with AXS. I saw SPS as nearly 10 cents. It was insane. I didn't have enough liquidity to purchase. I still get 250+ SPS daily from Airdrop+Staking. So it is not much of a miss.

I believe that HIVE could rally a little earlier than SPS, as SPS gets dropped every month by VCs + the airdrop means there's a ton of it entering the ecosystem. That said, I think SPS should pick up soon enough - as hopefully will all SPL assets the moment land comes into play!

Yeah, land will be a big update and can be the "big" sink for SPS if SL team wants. Let say 1K SPS stake for each land plot to be functional.

Yeah , Fundamentals are very important and in current scenario both Hive and SPS are great.

I also had similar confusions. I'm still wondering if I should make use of the dip and purchase SPS. After the airdrop is over and if SPS gets and exchange listing, the price can easily reach back to 1$. Then the rewards can be magical.
I am going to maintain status quo. N buying, no selling , no trading.
Just stake the airdropped SPS.
