Risingstars : How to buy Risingstar NFT/cards effectively and cheaply.
Risingstars : How to buy Risingstar NFT/cards effectively and cheaply.
Note: If you are brand new player that also need to know "How to Play Risingstar Game" then you can refer official guide here
Risingstars game is really gained popularity and lot of new players has now question that how they should buy cards and what cards should they buy. So this post has 2 parts 1.) Which cards they should buy and 2.) How they can buy the cards at right or cheap price.
Choosing the right cards at right price is actual deal in advancing the game.
Choosing the the right/effective Risingstar cards.
Risingstar NFT generally have 4 parameters , namely Fans, Skills, Luck and Income modifier. All these parameter have their own importance but as a newbie and particularly if you are looking to invest very little or the Starbits earned from the game only then you can leave income modifier (IM) and Luck parameters.
Most important thing at starting the game is the Fan , so as new player you should be focusing on the fan count , so that you can progress in mission that are unlocked with the level.
But doing a mission and fan counts will give rise to "Ego" in the game that will be noticed only after you reach level 15 in the game. To counter the ego , you need "skills" to balance them.
You have 2 option now, either to buy Skill cards or to do "Music Lessons" to gain skill. My personal opinion says that if Skills can be gained by music lessons then why should buy the Skill specific card? Actually my recommendation goes to the cards that are balanced with Fans and Skills as below card.

It's fan count and skill count are nicely balanced but wait, I am not saying to buy this card, you need value for your money also.
Buying it them cheaply or at best possible price.
There are so many cards listed in game site, so how to make decision for buying the card in cost effective way?
Do not worry about game site and we have 2 external sites that can really help in it are https://nftm.art and https://rsgfam.com/ . Link of "https://rsgfam.com" is already in the game site.
I will recommend to check first rsgfam.com as per requirement and I will say as new user check for fans (https://rsgfam.com/shop/fans) and see that how many fans use will get per Starbits.
After that you can check the card price in https://nftm.art if you are getting cheaper in any other currency as rsgfam do not compare the price of card between different currency and it only shows card in Starbits and Swap.hive only.
From my personal experience, I always found cheapest price is normally in Starbits.
I will say if you know that what type of card you want to buy then rsgfam.com is go to site. If you know that you want to buy that particular card let say R183 Gustaf then nftmart is great site as it tell the "equivalent" price of the card in all available listed currency.
Generally I go for purchase of cards that are balanced in fans and skill and combination of 150 fan and 125 skills or 100 fans and 75 skill is good and you can decide by seeing the price of card and the difference between fans and skill and you can choose what look good.
I also do not go for common card and I observed best value for money is in Rare "people" card and now I already shared you the site so yon can do your own research too.

I have a question about lesson cards. I have the most guitars but I do have cards for other lessons. Should I sell those and go heavy in guitars or is there a reason to do other lessons?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
You asked a great question, I'm very curious about it too.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yes, you can go heavy on one type of lesson. No need to have cards for all lessons.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Do you know how the chances of gaining skill ability from a lesson are calculated? Is there a formula for it?
For example, the 67 in the Drum Lesson was calculated according to what?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
According to the total luck you have from drum instruments from what I know.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I guess I should find the cheap ones and buy them. I have to buy other instruments especially to increase the chance in other lessons.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Why? You should focus on one instrument and there is no real point to focus on so many different instruments.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Is the only advantage of having different NFT cards related to player rating? Does it have any other advantage? Or is there a disadvantage? Will the gain range be the same even if I have the same NFT cards?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Nice, if you already figured out the relationship of lessons and "luck" then you are really doing great as many do not have this idea.
Yes you can choose which lesson you want to focus and buy those cards and rest you can sell.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Ha, trick is on you. I had no idea about luck, just ego lol.
But I will say that I had used my pizzas up so I was just running guitar lessons today because I need to lower my ego. I noticed that each one I do in a row yields me less skill. So maybe doing 5 or 6 a day of the same lesson is bad? Or just my imagination maybe?
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
No , Skill from lesson are random and it does not depend upon repeating the lesson.
I will explain "Luck" in detail in today post as most of Rising star player has no idea how "luck" works.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Awesome!!!! I have never sold a card before but I will sell a few and go heavier into guitars
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Nice. So you already have idea which card to sell or buy for it?
Frankly speaking I did not have this idea even after 1 year of playing.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Well, not really. I might just sell my instruments that won't count towards guitars. But maybe I'll just keep them. I don't have many lol.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Music lessons do not drop the minimum or maximum amount. So I think it's just your bad luck from running the missions.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Go heavy with guitar lessons if it's the instrument with the highest luck. From what I see, the luck you have bound to that instrument decides the amount you earn from lessons.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I'm starting to look at guitars and finding ones that I like. Im not pleased about it. I bought a rare lime green one because I liked the look and it gave me luck. It did about 5 skill to my guitar lesson maximum so that was good but I feel like I'm going to get sucked in lol. I haven't sold my other instruments so I basically bought a few guitars today. That's not how you get your investment back lol. I owe myself 150 before I go spending money!!!

Guitars seem like one of the more expensive instruments to build and I am glad that my piano instruments overpowered my guitar luck a while ago.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I never really compared instrument prices before. Guitars could be an expensive habit. Maybe I should switch

Thank you for a very good explanation. I wonder how much of an effect common cards have on player rankings.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Actually player ranking is not dependent upon type of cards (Legendary , Epic, Rare or Common).
Player ranking depend upon 4 parameters: a.) Total number of Unique cards in player collection.
b.) Total number of cards in player collection.
c.) Income modifier of the card.
d.) Number of weekly minutes played.
So it is IM parameter that is making difference between cards/

That's what I was wondering, thank you very much, now I understand.

Check out the last post from @hivebuzz:
I know about the two different tools but I am not sure if they can easily convert the tokens to be the lowest price or not. After all, the market allows them to sell cards for various different tokens. I tend to just rely on Hive and Starbits because it's easy to convert between the two.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Actually no tool is converting between tokens. But when 100+ cards are listed each having different currency then game internal market is no help. Here nftmart step in that tell you the price of card "equivalent" in swap.hive too irrespective the card listing token.
So buyer can do token swap itself and buy the cheapest listed card in equivalent swap.hive.
From my exeperience generally card listed in Starbits are always cheaper.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Yea, that is my view as well but it can be different if a token pump like WAX did in the past.
