Welcome to my blog, @queen-silvia. This is my first ever blog about football. If you are a @splinterlands player, you might know me as a tournament player who have won many silver an bronze tournament (either regular of gold foil), but as long as the world cup 2022 is being held on Qatar, I would like to celebrate this 4-year event by blogging about every match including match prediction and highlight. The reason why I am interested to football is because my family is a big fan of football (even my mom too), so I grew up as a football lover.

Alright, I missed some of the world cup matches but I think it's better late than never, so let's talk about some of the following topics :

- HOW CROATIA QUALIFIED FOR WORLD CUP 2022 -

Croatia qualified for the Qatar World Cup after finished as the winner of Group H at UEFA European Qualifiers with 23 points after collecting 7 wins, 2 draws and and 1 lose. The only lose is when Croatia had a match against Slovenia, at that moment, the final score was 1-0 for Slovenia. It was pretty well done performance by the runner up of the previous edition, World Cup 2018. Luka Modrić, Mario Pašalić, and Ivan Perišić became the Croatia top scorer at the qualifiers with 3 goals. Here is the final result of UEFA European Qualifiers, Group H :

- HOW MOROCCO QUALIFIED FOR WORLD CUP 2022 -

Morocco bye to the second round as they ranked 41 in the FIFA ranking. At the second round, they are belong to Group I with Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, and Sudan. Morocco became the winner after winning all the matches, Here is the final result of round 2, Group I :

Each (10) of the group winners at the second round were drawn into five home-and-away match. The drawing was held in Douala, Cameroon. Here is the result of the third round :

As the Result, The Africa delegations for the World Cup 2022 are Senegal, Cameroon, Ghana, Morocco and Tunisia.

- CROATIA TEAM AND KEY PLAYER -

As we are at the Group Qualification, I think it's good to know each players in both national teams. Here is the Croatia national team (26 players) after being announced by Zlatko Dalic, The Croatia Football Manager : (I used bold mark for the key players)

The Great forward from Morocco who plays at the top clubs are Hakim Ziyech for Chelsea FC and Youssef En-Nesyri for Sevilla. In Premier League 22/23, Hakim Ziyech has made 5 appearance with no goal or assist created while Youssef En-Nesyri has made 10 appearance with no goal or assist as well.

- CROATIA STRENGTH AND WEAKNESSES -

Strength

Croatia has many experienced players who have played at the World Cup 2018 final against France, Let say Luka Modric, Ivan Perisic, Mario Brozovic, Dejan Lovren, Mateo Kovacic and Andrej Kramaric. Although they were beaten, The fact that they reach the final proves that they have a solid squad in each of position.

Weaknesses

The Age factor may could be a weaknesses of Croatia as the experienced players like Luka Modric is 37 y.o, Dejan Lovren and Ivan Perisic both are 33 y.o now. which means that they could probably has less speed, agility and toughness. The younger player like Nikola Vlasic should be able to take the same role as his senior to maintain the Croatia performance in World Cup 2022 Qatar.

- MOROCCO STRENGTH AND WEAKNESSES -

Strength

In my Opinion, Morocco is like a young leaf. They have some great young players who plays at top clubs in the world and shine. let say Achraf Hakimi and Hakim Ziyech. Both young players could give great impact for their national team as they learned high level tactical skill from Paris Saint Germain and Chelsea respectively.

Weaknesses

If we are comparing the quality of players between Croatia and Morocco, Croatia is at the higher level as we know that Morocco has less players who plays at the top European Clubs. this could be seen in the match where I predicted that most of possession ball will be at Croatia side.

- FINAL SCORE PREDICTION -

I would predict the final score is 2-0 for Croatia win. I would say Morocco will do total defensive football strategy and counter attack against Croatia but Croatia would be able to score some goals as they will invade Morocco defence in the whole match.
