8 POINTS CLEAR OF MANCHESTER CITY…
Finally we are back where we belong, and ANFIELD is where we belong; a home for the Reds. The two weeks international break for the league competition certainly didn’t want to come to an end, i was getting tired of the break and was practically praying for our boys to come back home soon without any INJURY. This way our squads will be fit and able to play their best game in their best form possible, as we are in a very tough spot right now, which is why we can’t afford any man down…
I can’t even imagine how dangerous it would be for the team if we were to lose any of our main players to injury during the international break, this would have been a huge setback for the team, well enough nothing is certain when it comes to the Liverpool team. The whole Liverpool player went to represent their country in the international competition, and in such competition injuries are certain, luckily for us our boys came back in great form…
I was here two weeks ago sharing the progress update of my team and the overall performance of the Liverpool team in the race for the Premier league title. We played our 11th match two weeks ago, we were playing a home game with ASTON VILLA as our opponent. I remember talking about how happy i was to see our main opponents in the premier league title race lose their match, a lose for them and a win for us is a step closer to winning the League title of the season…
Our rivals for the title lost and drew their eleventh match two weeks ago, Manchester City who happens to be our closest competitor lost bitterly to Brighton, Arsenal draw their away match against Chelsea last two weeks. Fortunately for us we won our eleventh game and became 5 points clear of Manchester City. Manchester City has recorded three losses this season, Arsenal has recorded two losses this season, Chelsea also with two losses this season while Liverpool has just one lost record this season. What a great performance update…
12TH PREMIER LEAGUE GAME UPDATE…
The who teams came back last week after playing internationally for two weeks. I expected great performance from not just my team but also from all the teams in the premier league competition. I didn’t get any major injury news about the top 8 teams in the premier league division. The league is still fresh, which is why every team needs to solidify their position right now before it’s too late…
14 premier league teams went up against each other on Saturday, amidst these teams we had Chelsea, Arsenal and our main rival Manchester City playing against Leicester city, Nottingham forest and Tottenham hotspur respectively. Our 3 strongest rivals played their welcome back match on Saturday, Chelsea and Arsenal did justice to the game last week as they were able to bag the whole 3 points last week, still yet they maintained 3rd and 4th position respectively…
Our immediate rival Manchester City went up against Tottenham hotspur that same Saturday and got thrashed badly with a 4 nil win over them. Manchester City lost woefully that day, it was a big slap on their face but then this is premier league and anything can happen anytime, even to the strongest team in Europe…
Liverpool traveled to the St. Mary’s Stadium last sunday to play against Southampton in their home. I initially thought this match would be an easy one for my team, especially with the fact that we had our best 11 players on the field playing against them. I couldn’t watch the match live because I was far away from home, i chose to settle for the highlights. Liverpool had so many chances in the first half, i saw the opportunities they created before finally scoring an opener in the 30th minute, what a fine goal from Szoboszlai, i was expecting more goals in the first half, only to see an equalizer from Armstrong in the 42nd minutes…
The second half was fast on the way when our opponent sent in a second goal from a penalty rebound to lead the game. I became furious after the goal and was desperately praying for equalizer. All this happened before i saw the highlights. Minutes afterwards Salah came from behind to give us an equalizer with just 25 minutes till the end of the game…
We desperately needed a win to be 8 points clear of Manchester City. Just as it was about to end the Reds secured a penalty and once again Salah saved the day with beautiful upper left corner goal. What a celebration from the team, the score became 2-3 with Liverpool winning…
In conclusion, The game ended 2-3 and Liverpool successfully bagged the whole 3 points at St. Mary’s stadium. Now we are 8 points clear from Manchester City. I hope they lose their 13th match next week, including the 3rd and 4th position, with us winning again. I guess it’s our Season, hopefully the boys play with their brains this season…
