My Actifit Report Card: January 10 2025

Dear Friends,

Yesterday morning, I went to my avocado plantation to install a small shed there. It was a rebuilt one and I assembled it with nuts and bolts there. It was just a frame and hadn't had roof nor wall yet. I will install them later. And at the same time, the workers were working on building the wall around the water tank and the shed will also be kept inside the wall. Because the plantation is about 40 minutes drive from my home and I will put solar panel, water pump and control system inside; so it is better to keep them inside a locked wall.

In the evening, I went there again to preside over the workers and I watered my plants there. I found some plants were strong and healty while most were a little feeble. I hope they get stronger after they received water and fertilizer.

Now, I think it is harvesting time for corns (maize) and I found many trucks carrying corns out of the area. In southern Shan State, the most corns are mostly grown and they are exported to China and Thailand. And it also has local market for feeding chickens. Other crops include potatos, tomatos, soya beans and other fruits and vegetables.

For me I grow avocados, because I want to have some for myself and sell the rest. Avocado is also mostly grown in Southern Shan State because it has a suitable weather for the plants. And at my plantation, I will install automatic watering system, plants monitoring system (CCTV and AGV for looking around the plantation), which other farmers do not use. It is quite and entrepreneurial effort and let's see how far I will achieve.

Those are some of the activities for yesterday.
