My Actifit Report Card: December 23 2024

Preparing for another farm visit, working on the stove, shopping

Dear friends,

In this morning, I did some physical exercises before I had breakfast. And I prepared for another visit to my avocado plantation. I was going to put some dew and frost shelter for the plants by putting some net onto them. I cut and prepared bamboo sticks first and then I bought some net from the market in the afternoon.

I also installed some more sprinker for my garden; I used timer to run the pressure pump to water the plants in my garden with drip pipes and small sprinklers. In the morning, I checked them and installed some more where necessary to keep the plants in the garden green.

And I built a stand for the used-oil stove, and made some improvement on it. It was a tedius work; I found it required patience welding the parts. I came to realized that sometimes, it is wise to ask other skilled persons do the work. However, the problem is the expensive rate of the skilled workers here. That's why we usually say "the price of elephant goad is more expensive than the elephant itself". The scarcity of skilled labour is really an issue here.

And in the evening, I went shopping for the kitchen; I promised my mother that I would provide cooking oil for it so I went out to buy ten bottle of sunflower oil. I hope we can use them for one month.

Although I intended to test used-oil stove, I found that I didn't have enough used oil and I will have to find some to test it tomorrow.

Those were some of the activities for today.
