My Actifit Report Card: September 16 2024

Storm (typhoon Yagi) has subsided

Dear friends,
I was cut off from the internet because of typhoon Yagi, that has just hit Myanmar. There have been a lot of floods and landslides because of it; many people lost their home and there have been casualties and in Kalaw, which is a town about two hours drive from mine, there are over one hundred people dead and over two hundred missing. Many other towns and villages were affected as well.
I think it has been over four days internet was cut off because of the flood on the way and I just got it back two days ago but no fibre internet yet. We started to see the sunlight yesterday; there had been rains all day long.

And many people are in need of help at the moment and I donated some cash to them. I donated to my friends, who went to help them with food and clothing.

And today, it was sunny and I went to volunteer at the meditation centre for coming 10 days meditation session. I did maintenance work - replacing inlet filter of the generator engine, repaired doors of the Dhamma hall and female Yogi rooms, etc.

And because today is the market day, in early morning,I went to the market with my mom to carry meat, food and produce she bought. Sadly, I found that sellers from Inlet region did not come because of the flood, they must have lost their belongings in it.

Now,it is a sad fact that Myanmar people have suffered from the flood and also civil wars and the oppression from the region.

Those are some of the activities for today.
