Work finished but not a happy ending for today

Dear friends,

Today, we continued with our work - the two workers installed the hot and cold water pipes and I helped them when required. And the small water tank to control the water pressure from the pressure pump worked well.

However, when we released water into the hot water tank, there were some leakage in two glass tubes. We were able to fix one but for the second one, it got broken - it could be because the hot tube touched cold water suddenly. It was unfortunate and naive of us not to notice that beforehand. I just thought the glass was strong enough to endure such temperature change.

So, for the replacement, I had to order one glass tube from another town because the ones sold in my town were expensive. And I covered the tubes with a cloth because my friend recommended to do so. I also found that the heat that the tubes could absorb were so strong that the left-over water in the tank even boiled. I will have to wait a few days for the new tube to arrive; until then I will cover the tubes with a cloth so no more tubes get broken.

I concluded that the failure was due to our lack of experience and knowledge in solar water heater installation. However, we learnt from experience at least. So, that's some of the activities for today - overseeing the installation, testing and helping the workers where required. And I found that I have got about 2000 activity count in the Actifit app for today until now.
