Happy fiery 🔥 Tuesday and a very warm welcome to my world of trees 🌲🌳😹. As always thank you so much for stopping by yet again. It's been another ordinary day stepping it out and as it comes to an end am raring to go with my stepping and the trending stories of the day.
Let's get into all that and more, here we go again 💨.
So I kicked off the day with a little bit of stretching then I didn't go out for the morning walk, it's gotten cold especially in the mornings n night.
Next I got on with the chores then watched some YouTube and kept up with the trending stories.
Its been a cloudy day and that extended until this evening when I took my first and final walk. As usual slow paced enjoying the cool evening breeze 🍃. Well dressed and shielded from the chilly weather too😹.
So now let's get into the trending news of the day.
Over in Gaza, the mass murder continued with a number of Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrikes across the strip😿.
Not far off in Lebanon, Israel ceasefire with Lebanon hangs by a thread but is still holding. People are moving back to their neighborhoods and trying to clear the rubble and debris left by Israeli airstrikes.
In Syria, the govt forces are preparing a counterattack against opposition rebel groups in the city of Hama. This after the opposition rebel groups took over Aleppo and Idlib after pushing govt forces out🙀.
They had planned to continue acquiring new territory but now the govt forces with the help of Russia will be keeping them back.
In the other war, Ukrainians have condemned the US call to lower conscription age to 18years. They want it to stay at 25.
In the UK, Qatari Emir is on a state visit which he met king Charles and will be meeting PM Keir Starmer tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Georgia is at a moment of truth. For a sixth night protesters are outside parliament demanding a western path and not a Russian past🙀.
Then political shenanigans 😹 in south Korea as president Yoon Suk declared martial law🙀. In a quick move MPs voted and passed a resolution declaring martial law invalid.
This forced the president to lift that martial law order. Troops who had already gathered at parliament left the premises after that vote from MPs invalidated martial law.
It is the first time since 1979 that martial law has been declared in south Korea. It seems to have been a rushed decision by the president😹.
Finally, WWF in the last ten years has discovered 742 new species of wildlife and plants in the Congo basin. This includes a stunning array of new species comprising previously unknown plants, invertebrates, fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals.
Among these are unique orchids, new species of coffee☕, clawed frogs 🐸, crocodiles🐊, electric fish🐟, owls🦉, spiders🕷️, turtles🐢 and even a monkey species known locally as the "lesua".
Nature is just amazing, I guess there's still so much more that's undiscovered😹.
