Happy Caturday 🐈 and a very warm welcome to my report. Watch out the kitties are out to get you this wonderful day as they take over the blockchain for a while😹.
Thanks for stopping by and let's go ahead and breakdown my day including the trending stories. Here we go again 💨.
So today, as always I had a morning walk going for groceries around the neighborhood. Then I was indoors most of the time. Took care of house chores and cooking....
I watched some youtube and also followed up on the trending stories. There were also some exciting matches going on in the EPL.
My final walk was this evening, the usual sunset 🌄 walk. A nice, long walk around the neighborhood, and then back home. This week I met this friendly kitty, I said hi and he came and paused for a few pics😹.
Now let's get into some of the trending stories.
Lebanon in shock as Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was killed in massive airstrikes in Beirut🙀. Powerful bunk buster bombs that hit upto 60 metres underground were used to kill him and other top commanders.
Each bomb said to be close to 1,000 kgs. 85 such bombs were used🙀.
You've got to give up for Israel's intelligence capabilities. From exploding devices to now killing most of Hezbollah commanders🙀.
They knew exact location and tactics of Hezbollah.
Iran and Iraq definitely not happy with the news. Have declared 3 days of mourning. There were protests in the streets too.
More strikes in Beirut have left thousands of civilians displaced not knowing where to go😿.
Over 800 people killed since Monday as Israel pursued the Hezbollah commanders.
Elsewhere, sirens sounded in central Israel as defence systems intercepted a missile fired from Yemen🙀.
Despite these sirens, groups of protesters gathered in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem asking the govt to bring back hostages from Gaza.
Hezbollah has said they have launched long range missiles towards Israel🙀.
Hezbollah has been dealt a blow and it will be hard to regroup. Let's wait and see how that will happen and who will be their new leader. Hopefully the world avoids a larger conflict.
Across the pond in the US, Biden said the killing of Nasrallah was a measure of justice to many of his victims.
Finally, in crazy weather, hurricane Helene has continued it's devastation. In north Carolina millions have been left without power as the storm caused flooding with high speed winds😿.
Everything will be alright. All's well that ends well 💯.
