My Actifit Report Card: May 17 2024....High Five Friday👣 💨🍃🙌👏💯🙏😇👼💞😴💤☕⛅🎼🎶👌✨🌠

Hello everyone😻,

TGIF🎊🎉 and a very warm welcome to my report. This week has really flown by and now we are getting into the weekend.
It's been a wonderful day and before it ends let's look at how my stepping went plus share some of the trending stories that caught my eye 👀. Without much ado let's dive right in💨.
So I had a short morning walk then was back indoors. Mid morning it was quite sunny 🌞 but I was caught up indoors doing a little bit of house chores including laundry.
Later, I did get adequate rest, watched some YouTube and checked out Twitter😹.
As the evening set in, I stepped out for an extended walk. Am still exploring my neighbourhood 🌲 here in south of London.
Generally am just roaming around but being careful not to wander too far and get lost 😹.
Am slowly getting familiar to my neighbourhood.
It looked like it would rain but luckily it didn't and I made it back home safe and sound.
Next let's look at what was trending around the globe.
Let's start in Gaza. Israeli forces and Hamas fighters are targeting each other in northern Gaza around Jabaliya refugee camp.
Israel say it has recovered bodies of 3 Israeli hostages killed in Gaza last year.
Rafa in the south hasn't been spared as Israel stepped up its attacks in pursuit of Hamas fighters.
Some hope in Gaza as US announces that more aid will be coming in after completion of the floating pier on the coast.
In the other war, Russian strikes have killed two in Ukraine's Kharkiv region 😿.
Russia denying claims it wants to take over the city of Kharkiv.
At the ICJ in the Netherlands, Israel has defended itself against a case brought against it by south Africa. Denying trying to annihilate and destroy Palestinians as a people. Adding that its attack on Rafa was to get rid of Hamas.
The court is due to give its verdict in a few days. Though not binding, the decision could give some clarity and a possible way forward.
Across the pond in the US, reliant on visas to remain in the US, foreign students are facing heightened consequences for involvement in pro Palestinian campus protests🙀.
Also trending, a man who attacked Nancy Pelosi's husband has been sentenced to 30 year in prison. It was quite a vicious attack.
Finally, lets end with a shocking story from Algeria. A 45 year old Algerian man has been found after he went missing twenty six years ago🙀.
He was only 19 years old when a neighbor captured and kept him in a cellar just 200 metres from his home🙀.
All this time his family thought he had been kidnapped and killed during the 1998 Algerian war. The 61 year old neighbor has been arrested.
Things came to light when the suspect's brother posted revealing information on social media.
All's well that ends well but 26 years is quite a long term to steal from someone's life. We have some crazy individuals out there.
