Hello everyone 👋,
Give it up for Bob and yours truly this damn fine Caturday😹. You definitely know the drill every Saturday 😻, it's the kitties and the blockchain, what can we do😹. Thank you for being here and let's quickly take a look at my stepping activities plus some of the trending news that caught my eye 👀. Here we go again 💨.
So as usual, I kicked off early with a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighborhood 🌲. It was a beautiful sunny 🌞 morning and I enjoyed the fresh morning breeze.
Then I was back indoors for a bit of resting before embarking on the little house chores around the house. Up and down and in between I kept watching the news for trending stories. Then later in the afternoon a quick stop at the shopping centre for groceries. Next, I was back indoors sleeping for the usual refreshing afternoon nap💤. The evening came in quite swiftly, I was up, cooking and watching a bit of you tube and some soccer matches. The EPL had some interesting games. Arsenal, Man city and Liverpool are going hard after this season's title, lets wait and see who will win😹.
The sunset walk came as it was almost getting dark, as always slow paced enjoying the cool evening/night breeze. I finally made it back home safe and sound calling it a day😻.
So that was my day but lets finish with some of the trending stories.
Locally, a rather quiet day except for the usual political shenanigans 😹.
Globally, good news for Gaza as another round of talks set to begin in Cairo tomorrow.
Israeli and Hamas delegations are on their way there and so is the CIA chief. President Biden reportedly asked Qatar and Egypt for help to get Hamas to agree to deal.
Hamas have said that a key demand is the withdrawal of isreali soldiers.
Speaking of Hamas, they are reporting that they killed 14 Israeli soldiers in fierce ground fighting in Khan Younis in the south of gaza😿.
Across the border in Israel, thousands of protesters gathered to call for the resignation of PM Netanyahu. Saying after six months of war he has failed to bring back captives or get into a deal with Hamas. They also called for early elections🙀.
In the other war, Russia has struck the city of Kharkiv killing seven people😿. Most of the drones and missiles were shot down by the defense system but some residential buildings were damaged🙀.
Across the pond, Mexico trending as it cut diplomatic ties with Ecuador. This after Ecuadorian police forced their way into Mexican embassy in Quito and arrested the former vice president who has been hiding there since December😹.
Not far off in Peru, president Dina Boluarte testified about her luxury watches, jewelry and bank accounts😹. The police had raided her home some time back looking for Rolex watches she hadn't declared. Turns out some of those were gifts. What a nice alibi😹.
Finally in crazy weather, mount Etna in Sicily, the largest active volcano 🌋 in Europe, has been blowing spectacular smoke rings into the sky since Wednesday.
The rare phenomenon can only form in circular volcanic vent and requires a calm atmosphere.
