Hello everyone 👋,

Happy Tuesday 🎉 and a very warm welcome to my world 😊. I am definitely grateful for this day💯.Hopefully you are following through with your new years resolutions😹. So it's been a wonderful day and it's about that time to slow down, get ready for bed 💤. Before that let's quickly take a look at how my stepping went and also what's trending in the media streets. As always thank you for reading and let's begin 💨.
So just like yesterday, I started the day with a few rounds of brisk walking 👣 around the neighborhood 🌲. A nice session and then I was back indoors for some resting and the usual house chores. It's been quite sunny 🌞 the entire day even as I walked to the shopping centre in the afternoon as opposed to the cloudy☁️ days we have been having lately.
I later had my usual nap and then woke up to some cooking and news. Next it was time for the sunset walk, that went well and I made it back home safe and sound. To finish off let's quickly look at the trending stories of the day.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans 😹 kept going.
Globally, in Gaza at least 40 Palestinians were killed as Israel intensified airstrikes and gun fights around Khan Younis😭.
The Israeli military encircled Khan Younis after 24 Israeli soldiers were killed fighting with Hamas fighters in that area.
Across the pond in the US.The UN security council is meeting in NY discussing the ongoing war in Gaza. Several ministers from around the world are in attendance including from Palestine, Israel, UK, Russia among them.
UN secretary general Antonio Guterez has said a two state solution seems to be the only solution that will bring lasting peace to the region💯. Remember PM Netanyahu had opposed a sovereign Palestinian state😿.
He also reiterated the need for more aid to get into Gaza as fuel, food and medicines shortage are witnessed in many areas.
Also trending, Nikki Haley and Donald Trump go one on one in the New Hampshire primaries😹. Trump is the front runner as voters head to the polls in the race for the republican presidential nomination.Let's wait for the results.
Finally, Hollywood has named the nominations for this year's Oscars which will honour the film industry's finest stars and movies from the past 12 months. I will check who has been nominated in what category and which movies😹. But may the most deserving win💯. I think it will be at end of February.
