You definitely know the drill, it's about time to wrap the day. Let's quickly take a look at how my day has been including the trending stories. Here we go again 💨..
So as always my day began with a little bit of stretching then a few rounds of brisk walking around the neighbourhood. That fresh morning breeze🍃 was so wonderful. Then I was back indoors where I rested then got on with the little daily chores around the house. In between I caught up with the latest news and watched some crypto youtube, most analysts bullish for 2024 especially with the upcoming ETF.
My next walking came later in the afternoon to the city centre for some errands . Then I was back indoors for the usual nap. I woke up feeling refreshed some time early evening. watched the news then it was time for the sunset walk. As always slow paced around the neighbourhood and park. So that was the stepping and now let's quickly look at what trended in the media.
Locally, nothing much happening except the usual political shenanigans😹, people still on holiday mode as we await the new year.
On the continent, south Africa has filed case with international court of justice accusing Israel of genocidal acts🙀. Israel has rejected the case at the UN court saying south Africa is collaborating with terrorists🙀.
Meanwhile, the bombings continued in central and southern Gaza. In the last 24 hours, 186 Palestinians killed from the airstrikes🙀.
According to Gaza health ministry, the death toll has surpassed 21,500😭.
Also trending, a high stakes Hamas delegation is in Cairo Egypt to discuss a likely ceasefire based on release of captives. Let's hope this diplomacy works💯.
UN humanitarian affairs chief has voiced frustration that constant Israeli bombing is hampering delivery of aid😿.
Let's go to Europe where Ukraine trending as Russia unleashed a barrage of airstrikes across many cities killing at least 30. People were caught unawares in the morning attacks🙀.
Across the pond in the US, Trump has been barred from Maine primary ballot, he was disqualified under the insurrection clause. This after he was barred too in Colorado🙀. He will definitely be appealing the decisions at the supreme court. Looking forward to that election showdown between him and Biden next year😹.
