Happy Thursday 🎉,happy holidays and a very warm welcome to my world 😊.It's been another lovely sunny day that I enjoyed. I know you have many other things to do, so am definitely grateful you stopped by. Let's proceed to take a look at how my day has been plus some of the day's trending stories. Here we go again 💨.
So I kicked off the day with some brisk walking 👣 and jogging around the neighbourhood 🌲. A little cloudy but with some beautiful morning breeze 🍃. Then I was back indoors for some resting, a little bit of daily chores and catching up with the news. The next chance of walking came in the afternoon out to the city centre for some errands; nice sunny day as I made my way. As always I squeezed in the afternoon nap and woke up some time early evening. After some news and you tube, it was time for the slow paced sunset walk. I had a nice walk then was back indoors still watching news. So now let's quickly take a look at a summary of what was trending.
Locally, the usual political shenanigans kept going😹, otherwise a nice day.
Globally, the world's attention still on Gaza as the bombings continued. The death toll has surpassed 20,000😭.
Also trending, the UN is concerned by allegations that Israeli forces killed 11 unarmed Palestinian men in Gaza city. The men were shot in front of their families🙀. UN calling it a war crime, but will the bereaved families ever get justice?
World Food Programme is warning entire population of Gaza is at risk of famine soon. One in four households in Gaza currently face extreme hunger and many are in desperate need of food 😿.
Not far off, Israeli forces are carrying out further raids and incursions across the occupied west bank. Israeli military vehicles entered Palestinian cities and towns early Thursday morning. Residents say the troops stormed houses and arrested people in Bethlehem and nablus 🙀.
Across the pond in the US: white house spokesman John Kirby says US is moving more humanitarian aid into Gaza. US says it's working on the language of a UN security council resolution on Gaza.
Trending in Europe, Czech police say 14 people were shot dead by a gunman at a university in Prague😭.
Another 25 people were injured, 10 seriously and police said the gunman - a student -was found dead 😿. He definitely had some kind of mental break down.
