FOOTBALL FILLED WEEKEND (FROM PLAYING TO ALMOST CHEERING)
Hello Hivers, hope you guys had a wonderful weekend? it's good to be posting on #weekendcommunity hosted by @galenkp for the first time. I hope I'll have a delightful experience.
For most individuals, weekends are spent resting, relaxing, having a family time and preparing for the new week ahead. My case is quite different as I will consider my weekend boring if there is no element of football in it. This last weekend (12&13th of March) was one of the best weekends I've had in a long time, for reasons quite simple enough, I did not only get to play football but I also watched a game.
In the early hours of Saturday the 12th, I had a light jogging for about five minutes which ended on the pitch where I trained playing the wonderful game of football ( 5-a-side) with friends in my neighborhood. It was a fun filled experience because I was with friends turned family.
After the training, my Friends and I made arrangements to go see a live game the next day being Sunday the 13th. The match was a Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) week 18 fixture between Kwara united football club of Ilorin and Heartland football club of Oweri at the Kwara state stadium complex main bowl.
Sunday came and we couldn't make it to the stadium due to the scarcity and subsequent hike if fuel prices, I was pained that I wasn't able to be there to cheer the team (Kwara united) up but I followed the game online, Kwara united won by two goals to one.
Later in the evening, we consoled ourselves by watching an English premier league match between Arsenal football club and Leicester city football club at a local sports viewing center. It was indeed a consolation for us as good football was played by both teams although Arsenal won by two goals to nil.
So guys, that's all for now on my weekend engagement, I hope I didn't bore you with my experience, thanks for your patience in reading through and your support.
It's not bye bye, but see you again.
