Gold for Denmark, Silver for Croatia IHF WC 2025

Hello everyone! Pozdrav svima!

As I feared, Denmark is the new (4th time in a row) Handball World Champion, and Croatia proudly took the silver.

Denmark dominated the whole match, but Croatia held their own and never let Denmark go too far, as they did to their other opponents throughout the tournament. The game ended with a score of 32:26, which was the smallest margin of Denmark's wins in this tournament.

There were a few moments when it looked like Croatia could turn the tide and get the game going in our favor, but Denmark swiftly (with the help of referees) shut those situations down.

This game also marked the end of an era, as Croatia's captain Domagoj Duvnjak played his last game for the national team.

Two players from each team were selected for the best team (All-star) of the tournament, while Mathias Gidsel (Denmark), currently one of the best players in the world, took the MVP award

Croatia supporters were outnumbered but still managed to be louder than the rest. This proved, once again, how we have the best supporters in the world.

The other game, played for the Bronze medal had a thriller ending with France beating Portugal 35:34. 😔
