Sleep is one of the most important points overlooked by individuals who aim for muscle development and fat burning. Sleep has a very important role in fat burning, muscle protein synthesis, recovery/regeneration and the continuation of vital biological processes. A study from The University of Chicago and the National Center of Medicine and Science in Sports shows that insufficient sleep slows weight loss, increases the potential for muscle wasting, reduces performance and can lead to a decrease in testosterone levels.
