Hola, querido hiver.

Hemos amanecido con el cielo cubierto de nubes, que han descargado alguna gota a ratos y se espera que lo haga más a lo largo del día. Como no tentaba salir de casa y tenía que darle a Rocky su baño con el champú especial para la dermatitis, he decidido quedarme para hacer mis labores con más tranquilidad.

El baño ha ido de maravilla. Hoy ha sido más paciente que el otro día y se ha dejado hacer todo con más resignación, pobre. Para compensarle le he dado un buen masaje insistiendo en las partes más irritadas pero con suavidad para que no le piquen. Es tan evidente el alivio como que después me seguía por toda la casa.

Mi tarea principal para hoy es publicar el post donde cuento mis impresiones del encuentro con otros hivers del pasado sábado. Te dejo aquí el enlace.

Además, también quiero asistir a la curación en vivo de Voto Venezuela y preparar el contenido sobre el uso de Ecency que compartiré en un curso en el que me han invitado a colaborar.

Mi reflexión

Eliminaré de la ecuación la referencia a la juventud, pues el consejo es aplicable en cualquier etapa de la vida. No obstante, sé que el ímpetu de la juventud nos hace proclives a destilar un cierto orgullo y soberbia ante lo que después la vida misma se encarga de ponernos en nuestro sitio.

Es más que probable que haya vivido en una burbuja que no quería pinchar. No me quitaré ni un ápice de responsabilidad en esto: si me adularon, consentí en creer que tenían razón. La buena voluntad a veces no es suficiente, y por mucho que te den palmadas en el hombro si lo que sientes son puñaladas en la espalda lo razonable es alejarte cuanto antes. En su día no lo hice a tiempo pero aprendí la lección.

Una vez más lo escribo: he encontrado el bienestar en la sencillez. No me interesan los focos, los falsos halagos ni las sonrisas huecas. Me encuentro cómoda en mi rincón, desde el que observo los movimientos y del que salgo cuando pienso que merece la pena hacerlo y no antes ni a cualquier parte.

Cuando encuentro ciertos perfiles arrogantes como los que describe Diógenes Laercio, me causan una mezcla de lástima y compasión. Porque sé que, igual que hizo conmigo, en algún momento también ellos recibirán la llamada de atención. Espero que les sirva tanto como a mí y puedan mantenerse con los pies en la tierra.

Hi, dear hiver.

We woke up in the morning with cloudy skies, with a few drops of rain at times and more expected throughout the day. As it was not tempting to leave the house and I had to give Rocky his bath with the special shampoo for his dermatitis, I decided to stay and do my chores with more peace and quiet.

The bath went wonderfully. Today he was more patient than the other day and let me do everything with more resignation, poor thing. To make up for it, I gave him a good massage, insisting on the most irritated parts but gently so that they don't itch. The relief is as evident as the fact that afterwards he followed me around the house.

My main task for today is to publish the post where I tell my impressions of the encounter with other hivers last Saturday. I leave you here the link.

Besides, I also want to attend the live curation of Voto Venezuela and prepare the content about the use of Ecency that I will share in a course I have been invited to collaborate in.

My reflection

I will remove the reference to youth from the equation, as the advice is applicable at any stage of life. However, I know that the impetus of youth makes us prone to exude a certain pride and arrogance in the face of what life itself will later put us in our place.

It is more than likely that I have lived in a bubble that I did not want to burst. I won't take one iota of responsibility for this: if they flattered me, I consented to believe that they were right. Goodwill is sometimes not enough, and no matter how much you are patted on the shoulder if you feel stabbed in the back, it makes sense to walk away as soon as possible. I didn't do it in time but I learned my lesson.

Once again I write it down: I have found wellbeing in simplicity. I am not interested in the spotlight, false flattery or hollow smiles. I am comfortable in my corner, from which I observe the movements and from which I leave when I think it is worthwhile to do so, and not before or anywhere else.

When I encounter certain arrogant profiles such as those described by Diogenes Laertius, they cause me a mixture of pity and compassion. Because I know that, just as he did with me, at some point they too will receive the wake-up call. I hope it will serve them as well as it did me and that they will be able to keep their feet on the ground.
